Firstly, my apologies for the lack of updates on the front page. We're currently in waiting for the release of a new and upgraded site courtesy of webmaster and admin Cipher who we all love and adore (when he isn't dishing out warnings left, right and centre if you're a rulebreaker, of course!).

All work is taking place on the forum itself so go there and sign up if you haven't already as I won't be updating this page until the new site is finished. Recent updates include trainer sprite work, information on Burmy's Cyber Cloak (and sprites), a few new maps and more. Additionally, thanks to Wichu, we have a new Expedition Battle system for the game. More on this later!

What you have to look forward to:

- Brand new site

- Scripting info

- More sprites and maps

- New redesigns of Acanthite Pokémon

- Updated moves and abilities information

- The release of the new and MUCH improved Acanthite Trading Card Game series

- Much, much more as we work towards this long overdue demo!!

Of course, we need you to contribute ideas and critique, so stroll on down to the forum and engage in the development. Every post with a useful comment lets us know exactly what we need to strive for. So help us out!

Well, I'm back from university for five weeks and to celebrate, I have a design update for you.

There are some very cool new works here from the ever incredible Comfy Cushion. The newly updated arts are #496 Dilophrill, #499 Solaccoon, #507 Felbin, #512 Helmite (all forms - more information to follow), #526 Coleoplode, #542 Escargoo, #597 Peculiurn, #648 Anjewl and an update to #649 Diavil so that it is more congruent with the new Anjewl.

As usual, swing on by the Pokémon section of the website and view the arts with the red UPDATED tag. Easy!

Helmite's new forms are the Sturdy and Sharp Shell versions, and a shell-less form which is as of yet unnamed. The Sturdy and Sharp Shells will be hold items that change Helmite's form and increase either Def or Atk stats accordingly. Also, the shells will influence the evolution to Armapill which will be seen in a future update.

Helmite will not be the only Pokémon that has alternate forms in Acanthite and more information on that front will be revealed in due course.

We hope you like the revised final evos of our Grass and Fire starters. Tidalisk is on the way, fear not Reptide lovers!

Would anyone be interested in joining the Acanthite Chat for a live Question and Answer session with me (and any other Staff who would like to join in) from 7pm GMT to 10pm GMT? If I'm feeling especially generous and it's going well I might keep it going until 12 as I should be present.

The Chatroom is dead these days and needs kickstarting and I think this would be a good way to revive it. I'll be in for the full three hours to discuss any matters raised, although of course I'll retain my right to keep a lid on particularly sensitive information!

Anyone can join in by going HERE (you must have Java installed, or you can use the instructions on how to run the chat in mIRC that are on that page)
