Fangking told me he saw Tropius in telescope in the Great Marsh, but I would like to know if Tangela is in fact in the game as well. Someone has said that Tangela swarms in Mt. Coronet Top. But there are conflicting reports on various sites and dexes (Serebii, bulbagarden, psypoke, etc.) that claim Tangela and Tropius are and aren't in the game. I was thinking about making this thread so that their are witnesses who encountered these two and prove once and for all they are in the game.

Here is what Fangking has told me:
~He saw Tropius in telescope in Great Marsh, but was unable to find it for captur (he did however tell me that he got a Tropius via trade).
~When checking Tropius's dex location, it says area unknown.
~Fang said he had Emerald in the GBA slot for a long time, but can't remember if he saw Tropius with Emerald Installed.

Now, it's a fact that without a GBA game inserted, all GBA inserted pokemon will say "Area Unknwon" in the map dex. My guess is that Tropius is one of those Pokemon that can be seen no matter what GBA game is in the slot. If Tropius was in the game because of Emerald, it would make no sense since all Emerald Insert Pokemon are G/S Pokemon. This may be the same for Tangela. Who knows.

So are there other witnesses who atest for the fact that they saw Tropius or Tangela? (Not that I don't believe Fang, but Serebii Joe and others disprove him because it's just one person and the in-game data says otherwise about Tropius and Tangela).

I may well be wrong but I'm sure KangasKid told me once of catching Tropius himself. Or at least actually encountering it.

Edit: Having tested viewing its location with Emerald plugged in, it is still Area Unknown. However, so is Gligar, Pineco etc... so... :P

I do believe Tangela swarms, just not on Mt. Coronet (since it also evolves there) and I ALSO saw Tropius through the binoculors (of course this was after I already Pal Parked him >_>; )

I've also seen Tropius in the Safari Zone...But that was after I had received one in a trade...

It might be a glitch, because Serebii gets their information straight from the game's coding

Why would these two not be in the games when every other non-legendary, non-starter is available in one way or another? It doesn't make any sense to me. Especially when Tangela has a new, tasty evolution.

Everyone loves the walking noodle with arms, Fangking! I really hope Tangela is in there somewhere 'coz I'm gonna get Diamond soon.

I've also been complaining about this. Even the Pokedex guide say that they aren't in the game. It's MADNESS!!!

Tangela dosn't evo on mt coronet.It evolves by training with ancientpower.

IIRC, I've gotten a Tangela swarm atop Coronet before.

I have a Tangrowth it's Tangella's evo and I'm starting to breed Tangela so is you want one pm me.
