Hi all,

I can now confirm that the forum will be upgraded this coming Saturday, 30 August. This means that we'll be preparing for the upgrade on Friday, before actually upgrading the forum on Saturday.

Friday's Schedule of Events
  • The Gray Diamond theme will be removed and all users will be temporarily shifted onto the current Geminine theme before being moved to the new default theme after the upgrade.
  • All the Collection avatar galleries will be taken down.
  • All the Acanthite avatar galleries will be taken down.
  • The warning system will be removed.
  • A signature width rule will be enforced.
A few post-notes regarding this. Regarding the Acanthite avatars, this decision was made due to the fact that a vast majority of the Pokémon have, in some way, changed, and thus the avatars are inaccurate. However, if your current avatar is from one of our galleries and you would like to keep it, simply right-click on it, hit Save As, and save it onto your computer. You can then re-upload it after the upgrade.

With the warning system being down overnight Friday/Saturday, should anyone need to be warned during this time, they will be warned when the new warning system goes live. If anyone goes overboard and abuses the fact that the warning system's gone, they'll get a three-day ban.

As for the signature width rule, this is because there is a second page design implemented. If any of you have ever been on a vBulletin forum, such as SPPf or PokéCommunity, you'll notice that the user details, rather than being in a horizontal bar to the left (like it is at the moment), it's in a vertical bar at the top of the post. The new forum upgrade will let you choose between these two styles, but because of the new style, we have to implement a new rule to ensure your signatures aren't ridiculously large: please ensure your signature is no longer than 250 pixels from top to bottom.

Saturday's Schedule of Events
  • At approximately 1300 BST, the forum will be taken down.
  • At, I'm hoping, around 1600 BST, the forum will be brought back online.
When the new forum comes online, it will have three themes, and you'll all be starting off with the default. We'll also have two new avatar galleries which will grow progressively over time: artwork from the first set of the Acanthite TCG; and character artwork from the entire Acanthite TCG.

During the process of upgrading and fixing up the forum, we'll also be posting revisions to the forum rules and the warning system. I'll be installing the reputation system, too, as several of you have wanted.

Any questions?

Cipher
Great, look forward to seeing all the hard work you've put in babes
Geminine theme? Sounds awesome :)

Yeah, it's a really nice theme. It doesn't have a Geminine banner at the moment due to the fact that Geminine doesn't have a fixed design, so putting it on a banner wouldn't be the smartest thing to do, but the theme itself is really nice. :) Miles better than the current Geminine theme, and the banner on the new default theme is ace.

Three new themes, three wonderful banners done by our very own Concore. :)
The art shown before isnt the official Geminine art? :O

As far as I understand, no. It's being redesigned.
Hmm, I thought it was very good to begin with. THough if they think it may need ot be redesigned, they may have better ideas in store. :)
It won't look like GUNDAM in future :)

Ah awesome. I also seen the new banner he did... a very good job I must say.
