Again, absolutely nothing to do with pokemon. Here it is:

Dawning Light

In golden dawning light I see
A distant dragon fly to me
Scaled copper, eyes bright green
The most dazzling dragon I'd ever seen.

He alit atop a nearby rock
And up so close, it was a shock
To see a creature, mystic and great
To see those eyes, and in them, my fate

For he locked those emerald eyes on me
And I froze in fear, but I could see
His keen intelligence, so calm and cool
Rgarding me as if I were a fool.

Then he uttered a sound that to my ears
Was so familiar, it soothed my fears
I approached him and met his eye
For that gentle sound had been a sigh.

He nodded once, and then he bowed
Spreading his wings along the ground
The skyking wanted me, I realized
To join him dancing in the skies.

I clambered on, he then took flight
We rose up to breathtaking height
For that instant, we were one
As we soared into the sun.

The first verse was inspired by Anne McCaffrey's rhyme in a book that I can't quite remember the name of. The only line that is identical to the rhyme that inspired the verse; and, in effect, the entire poem; is the second line. Comments welcome!

Edit: Geez, no one?
Edit #2: COME ON ALREADY! At least PM me! >_<
