In the aftermath of atmmachine's thread and comments,

The only way you should respond to spam is to report it. I saw that two people reported atmmachine's thread, which I was pleased about - until I saw how many people had actually replied to the thread. Respond to spam, yes, but please don't reply to it. I received an email from him accusing you lot who replied of bullying him (don't worry, I know you weren't) and stating that he was going to report the site and give us a bad name. Not that I personally care because he's one of the most immature members I've ever seen here, and I've been doing this job for over two years now, but still, it shouldn't get to the point where they say they'll report the site or go out of their way to give it a bad name. That's why you should just report the thread and leave it be until someone sorts it out.

Also, on a somewhat-related note, someone said something like "where are the mods and admins" - between us we do cover all 24 hours of the day, no worries there. One of us will pop up eventually if something like that ever happens.
Ah man, I always miss the fun now.
This reminds me of what my dad was telling me last night when I told him about those two members asking to be banned. He said that they ask to be banned because then they can say "We were treated unfairly on this site!" And then create their own forum on a similar topic, thereby pulling members from this forum onto their own, and spreading the word around the internet and such not to come here.
It's happenned before, on a forum run by a friend of mine. Not a fan game, just a fan site, but still.

If they wanna create their forum, that's their choice, but they can't say they were unfairly treated. We have logs with their posts in which more than show that their behaviour and attitudes were less than satisfactory. The first one got banned because of his appalling behaviour in his final thread, and the second one had the "if he gets banned, I get banned" thread, so I was happy to oblige.
Wait, I looked up the member because I never even heard of him on this site before, and when I checked his list of threads and posts, he didn't have anything shown. How could he be banned if he didn't post anything?

He did have something, it was just deleted and that's why it doesn't show up. I saw the threads myself.
Hey, instead of making the obvious announcements like these, how about some bloody progress on the project itself. This is getting to the point of being REAAAALLLLY appalling project management.

And Peridot and Zircon are going... how well, exactly?
Can't believe I missed this. Oh well, ay least he's been dealt with.
