With every new card series comes the traditionally-new series of fake card blanks. Following on from Cascade Gonpory's Diamond & Pearl blanks, I am very pleased to announce that I am currently working on the new Platinum blanks, previously due to be released as DP Enhanced blanks.
Question is, why? It might be a different series, but the card designs are still the same, you say. Well, that's partially true. However, PL Series cards don't have flavor text, so the bar in the text area needs removing. As well as that, all these cards are of the highest quality and made from scratch. Also, as well as the four current states (Basic, Stage 1, Stage 2 and Level-Up), we have both Japanese and English variants of Pokémon SP (Basic and Level-Up).
As well as those, Japanese cards (Pokémon LV.X and shiny Pokémon only) are treated to the entire card having a special holographic design. This design will be used for special blanks of all stages. Each type will also have three Classic designs, as seen on Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard of Stormfront.
Confusing? Probably. Well, put it this way: for each Pokémon type, there are 24 different blanks. There are also twelve Trainer blanks and eight Energy blanks (the special designs are used on those too).
This means the current total number of blanks in the Platinum series is expected to be 236. Some examples will be posted over the next few weeks.
I'll try and do a breakdown of all blanks available soon, I know my explanation is quite confusing.
