Hi all,

It's been brought to my attention in the past 48 hours that the Pokémon Acanthite website is going through bandwidth at an alarming rate, even in this dry patch. In the space of 13 full days we've used up 40% of our allocated bandwidth and so we run the risk of using it all up before the end of 28 February. As such, something needs to be done, and as the forum is the source of 99% of activity on the website, it needs to be done here.

As such, after careful deliberation between myself and Fangking and consultation with a friend of his, we have unfortunately seen fit to shut down the Fun and Games forum. The vast majority of forum activity goes on in there. Given that this is a project forum first and foremost, that shouldn't be the case, and it's eating away at our bandwidth.

However, I am pleased to announce the winner of the "Last Person to Post Wins" thread. You forget that I don't have to post in a thread to close it, so it isn't me. :P It's Hak, actually, so congratulations to Hak for being the last person to post.

Well done Hak! ^_^

Shame to see it go, but I won't miss it as much as some.
It is a shame because it was good for the community in some ways. However, this is a statement of our intent to put the emphasis on the development game itself now. Those of you who contributed to the "fun and games" can contribute to other areas of the forum ;)

Cheers,
Charlie
Haha. Awesome.
Congrats to Hak ^_^

shame the Last person to post thread is gone...oh well...XP
OH GOD NOOOOOOO!!!

Anyways, Congratulations to Hak!
Glad to see it gone; that type of thing should be a subforum with limited posts-per-person-per-day. Acanthite's wasn't.

Also, if you want some offsite backups, I have good hosting and a large amount of HD space, so...

Thanks, but that won't be necessary. We have unlimited disk space available to us on Acanthite.
Offsite backups- not on the server, for safety.

It doesn't matter how much space on disc there is on this server.
It was the mega quote chain thread that did it, wasn't it?

Anyway, congratulations, Hak!

It was the entire forum, to be honest. It was just so active it was eating away at the bandwidth. No one active thread can really be singled out.
