Over the years, I've seen Poison-type Pokemon get hammered by Psychic attacks and Earthquakes while they can only be super-effective against Grass-types that isn't part Ground or Poison themselves. I was thinking about Poison-type moves being super-effective against Bug-type Pokemon and Fighting-type Pokemon, since Poison-types are resistant to those types anyways. Maybe they should lose their vulnerability to Psychic attacks, since I never understood the connection anyway. Tell me what you guys think.
i completely agree with you, i like that idea, you might want to send that idea to nintendo.......
I completely agree with you. Poison types are my favorite type, but I am not able to use them online because of all the Earthquakes and Phychic.

I agree that Poison should be super-effective against Bug, but I'm not sure about Fighting.

I never saw the Poison/Phychic relation, so they should drop that. I think Fire is a lot more suitable for a super-effective move against Poison. Maybe swap Phychic for Fire?
Yeah, I agree with Hak in every way here.
I'm glad you guys feel the same way. The idea behind Poison moves being super-effective against Fighting Pokemon is that they might not have enough defenses to fully combat toxins like other types do. Just throwing that out there :). It also lays claim to types affecting the Dark/Fighting/Psychic circle since Psychics affect them seriously. Then there's the Fighting/Poison/Steel circle that would develop. Poison over Fighting, Fighting over Steel, Poison having no effect against Steel. I'm just saying there was a lot of thinking behind the idea. In the case of dropping Psychic and adding a Fire weakness, I really don't know. Some thinking has to be done about this. I mean it makes sense, it's just that I have to re-imagine some circles. I'm just glad you guys think there should be a change.
Fighting types should be resistant(I think they already are :S not sure though), really. Being fit and strong like that makes you immune to toxins. :P

Poison types aren't all that bad. There's Gengar, Roserade, Weezing and to some extent, Drapion too. Poison types don't suck at all. I think you mean the poison type.

Well based on that, then someone could argue that the relation a fit and strong mind could fight off the poisons. Though, Psychic types don't have an immunity to poison. And I think normal types would be better to have a weakness to poison than fighting types.

There are defiantly some good part-Poison Pokemon. I just want my Poison moves to have a little more humph against more Pokemon. Red and Blue instilled in me that the Poison type was more of a weakness then a strength, in most cases it is, and I never really let go of that. I think they should have more influence other then just poisoning Pokemon and dealing normal damage.

Well, I guess I can't really describe my reasons behind Poison-types being super-effective against Fighting-types. In my mind, it just makes sense :). Looking at a chart and seeing what Poison-types are resistant to allowed me to see the possibility of Poison-types being super-effective against them. That's all really.

EDIT: I have thought about Normal-types being creamed by Poison-types, something else for Blissey to fear ;), but I don't know about Normal-types having another weakness.
Normals types only have one weakness. Though, giving them a weakness to poison types would make all the birds(normal/flying types) even more defenceless in my opinion. xD

Off topic, that comment has got me thinking. Why has there not been a pure flying type yet or why it has never been a primary type?

To me, that wouldn't make sense. A Pokémon's ability to fly is simply one of its attributes, and is an attribute that any Pokémon of any of the nineteen existing types can have. If a Pokémon has no attributes, it is Normal type; thus, I believe it makes sense that a Pokémon whose only attribute is its ability to fly would be Normal/Flying.
