Im just gonna throw this in because Ive never heard it mentioned. Cinnibar island isnt the only place to find Missingno. and M' and stuff liek that. Havent you tried the Seafoam islands? WOkrs there, and its somewhat quicker, and it seems liek you can get a wider variety of glitches. Feel free to fight Proffesor oak and other NPCs. I also once fought a Charizard there, which i think may be related with somehow loading the last Pokemon and a fight between me and my brother; him havingthe Charizard...
There is a Potion under the tree in Viridian City.
If you leave a Zubat in the ybgr versions and let it stay for too long, it eventually runs away. Happened like 4 times for me, and once for my brother. After it happened the first time, we played around with it. :D
Problem: You can't fly to Seafoam.
There is a Draco Plate behind the statue in Eterna.
You dont need to fly, use surf... xD
And encountering Tentacool doesnt interupt the trick; try it :P
That's not what I mean. The only reason the trick works with Cinnabar is because you can fly there directly. If you enter another route on the way the trick doesn't work. That's also why FrLg made the Old Man's tutorial mandatory- so the trick wouldn't work.
No, it DOES work with the seafoam islands...for a long time i didnt knwo it wouldwork for Cinnibar and iused Seafoam.

It's a Potion in Red and Blue. I don't know if they change it for Fire Red and Leaf Green, though.

That only applies for G/S/C; you can easily breed family members on the newer games. Also, since in G/S/C shinies had similar IVs, the game would think that they're related and refuse to let two shiny Pokémon breed.
