As the title says, post random facts about Pokemon.
Facts that are obvious, Not known very well, weird, just anything about Pokemon(I got the idea for this thread from the Serebii.net forums)
anyway, here's some:
Some Pokemon's cries are the same, just different Pitch and speed
Shellos was originally going to be in 3rd gen(or so I've heard)
The 3 legendary birds are named after numbers
Artic-uno(1)
Zap-dos(2)
Mol-tres(3)

The legendary bird thing is really OBVIOUS and if you think that's impressive that you know that, you're wrong :P
Charizard and Rhyhorn's cries are the same, exactly, no pitch or speed differences.
A female Azurill has a 1/3 chance of evolving into a male Marill.
Magikarp learns Bounce in Platinum.
Shuckle has the highest base Defense and Special Defense of all Pokemon.
Kadabra is the only Pokemon without a DP-on legal card because of an infamous Uri Geller lawsuit, over Kadabra's Japanese name (Yungeller)

Ekans is snake backwards! Abrok is koba backwards! I don't know if that's well known I'v only herd it once...
I guess the reason why a female Azurill can evolve into a male Marill is because the gender ratios are different between the two. I'm familiar with the famous Skitty/Wailord combo. There was a sprite of a pink, furry Wailord with cat ears and tails that I have seen before, but I don't remember where. I don't recall anything especially interesting right now, though, except that Mew wasn't planned to be a real Pokémon in the first generation.

There are quite a few Pokemon that mean something when spelled backwards:
Ekans - Snake
Arbok - Kobra
Rotom - Motor
Girafarig - Girafarig
Eevee - Eevee
Ho-oh - Ho-oh
Muk - ...Figure it out yourself :P

That's because it's floating above nothing when you fight it :P

Cobra is usually spelled with a 'C' though. And Muk is just 'muck' without the 'c', get you mind out of the gutter. T_T
Is 'lerabib' even a real word?
