I have cloned Master Balls from Emerald, so I was able to get Darkrai easy. I did softreset a few times to get a good nature. I ended up with Timid, because I don't have the patients to try for Modest. I guess I could lend my lv.100 Gallade(Hypnosis,False Swipe,Swords Dance,Mean Look) to anyone who's really having trouble catching Darkrai.

I got the Member Card, but I can't get in the hotel. It might be a glitch or something. I did check Serebii though, and all it said was that I would now be able to enter the hotel. Am I doing something wrong?

Have you actually been to a Poké Mart to pick up the Member Card?

Yes, I have the Member Card in my bag, top slot, and it won't let me in the stupid hotel. I have tried both day and night.

Crap, I have to beat the league to get the National Dex first! FFS I need to train like mad.

Got the Member Card, if just for the sake of seeing Newmoon Island (which did look very cool - I'm not a big fan of darkrai). I went up the first time and launched a fridge Rotom Thunderbolt at it, which got an easy OHKO, since darkrai is Level 45 and Rotom is Level 71 >_< Oops.
Fortunately I'd saved before enetering the motel itself, so I turned the game off and tried again - this time I shadow Balled it (thanks to Not-Very-Effective-ness) down to red, then Thunder Waved, and then just tried to catch it. A little later tropius's cut brpught it down to a sliver, but it still took forever to bag it - I realized I'd only brought 4 Timer Balls, and it wasn't yet night so the Dusk Balls I had would be pretty much worthless. Again, oops.
So instead I had to waste all the other pokeballs on it and generally stalling until I was sure Timer Ball got its max potential, then used the last few - FINALLY I caught it with my third (second-to-last) Timer Ball (if I ran out of Timer Balls, I was just going to kill it and to hell with it). It's got a worthless Hardy Nature, but I'm never going to use it, so who really cares? I'm done.

True, but I haven't beaten the E4 and then I tried to do Mystery Gift. I found out that you don't need all requirements to get the Nintendo event. The thing is: The Mystery Gift gives you the Member's Card that you can use after you've done everything else.
