So I finally got it at about 5:30 today, but I had to spend the last hour on homework, so my team so far is only:
Bidoof (Spartan) Level 4
Turtwig (no nickname) Level 6
Just leaving Sandgem, heh. Only keeping Turtwig in the team just in case Bidoof gets in trouble against a Shinx or something....

There are actually a good number of Fire pokemon in Platinum....notably Houndoom, Flareon, and Magmortar. It's not just Infernape or Rapidash anymore.
Already on the 7th gym. My current team is:
Torterra Lv. 42
Luxray Lv. 42
Rotom Lv. 42(Or 43, can't remember)
Porygon Lv. 42
Gabite Lv. 41
None of these were traded from my Diamond. I like how in Platinum you can catch Rotom the moment you beat the Eterna Gym, because it's a really good Pokemon to have in the beginning of the game.

Yeah. it's only at night. I'm actually gonna wait to beat the 7th gym until I can get the Secret Key, then I'm gonna completely torch Candice with Heat Rotom. I don't know when that will be though..

At least you're not in my situation, because I need to find someone in my neighborhood (or at least my district) with a DS (since my frined's broke and he can't get another in August) so I can trade my Pokemon from D and P to Pt.
I really need to get Shaymin, Riolu and Turtwig from Pearl; and Piplup, Regigigas, and Elekid from Diamond before I get the first badge.*
*That's the mission I set for myself.

So you're going to trade a Regigigas into Platinum BEFORE your first badge? The Regigigas would be Lv. 100 or Lv. 70, depending on where you got it, and you're going to trade it over. And then you just murder the game with it (that is, if it even obeys you.). That's cheating. or are you just going to let it fester in a box until you beat the Elite Four?
Actually, I was just gonna wait til after getting the National Dex to use it to get the 3 Regis. It's event Regigigas (as in LV 100).
So basically, it's just gonna lie in the box.
Shaymin will go in for obvious reasons (getting the Glacidea Flower).
The other four will be my main team, along with Chimchar and Starly, at its base level.
The only cheating involved is the fact that most of the Pokemon being traded over are holding Master Balls, which I never intended to get 999 of them in both games. Don't you just hate it when you let someone use their Action Replay on your game for three cheats (event Pokemon) and they give you 5 (the fifth being 999 Race Candies)?
