This thread is for discussion of any forum rules - that is, the main rules, the signature rules and the warning system. If you are commenting regarding any rule in particular, please state which section of the rules it falls under when doing so. All comments and suggestions will be taken into account. Thanks! :)
So, all the posts in the old Forum Rules thread (which you were allowed to post in) were deleted, correct?
Yeah. I figured it would be best to leave the three Forum Rules thread pinned and closed: that way, if there are ever any amendments to them, we can just make a post in there detailing said changes.
I'd turn off the post count increase and 25 character limit on hi's and bye's.

They usually exist of spam anyway.
Also, some people could just act as some sort of bouncer and get loads of posts that are actually nonsense.
Quote:I've seen several threads made recently that, quite frankly, were totally pointless, got their originators warnings, and could have been avoided with a little thought.

For example:

Game

Qusetion Movesets (his spelling, not mine)

Do you know what these have in common?

All of them could have been avoided if the creators took time to do research and think.

As such, I suggest a new rule:

All new topics that aren't an art/moves/etc. showcase must have at least one solid paragraph. This will require thought to be put into the creation of a topic, and end the kind of tripe shown above.
I think in the art sections(Art, sprite art, and fake cards) and creative writing sections, there should be a rule for commenting on something. Most of what I see are things like "That is amazing, good job!" or "That isn't very good, I don't like it." And it's getting really annoying to me. I was thinking that you could change it to where we need to post detailed comments on why we like it/don't like it, and if we don't like it, we need to post constructive criticism. For example: "I like that because...(Insert detailed reason), but it's not the best because "Insert detailed reason." Or "I don't like it because...(Insert detailed reason)." It could even be just the first half of the first example, as long as it's detailed.

Just an idea. :)
Here's an idea...

When a thread dies, have it so user's can't make a new thread for the exact same thing, just it being newer, that really makes no sense. It should be that the user has to update the original thread; and if it's closed, PM an admin or moderator to re-open it.

Just a suggestion.
I would agree, but it would be kind of annoying to bump an old thread after looking to make sure it actually exists :X
Stop being a newbie-nazi.

A better idea would be to make a link to the Acanthite factsheet [which, i guess would need to be created?]appear after registration and sort of making them have to scroll through it or something. Ykno the ones where you need to scroll to the bottom to accept. Also, a link in announcements might not be the worst idea.
