A1H1 is a serious disease that would have stayed local back in the day, but with the modern transportation we have today, it can spread to a lot of places. There's only one case in the state I live in, but there could be several more. Precautions do need to be taken in consideration, but like I said before, don't let the fear of this disease take over your life.

My friend has this strange Apocalyse theory- he had it since before the Swine Flu, but this has him almost in a panic. Just a few days ago we were wandering around during P.E. and he found a Pokémon card on the ground, a Piloswine. He gave it to me, and I was looking at it for a while when I realized something.
And that's why he's telling everyone who'll listen that the fact that he found a Pokémon card on the ground that says "Swine Pokémon" on it is a sign of the Apocalypse. I think someone just put it there to freak everybody out.
And those are my comments on the Swine Flu.
[/end rant]

To be really honest, I didn't know about swine flu until yesterday
So, I'm reading up on it on Wikipedia right now.

people calm down! The normal flu kills more people than the swine flu. If you get flu symptoms got to your doctor to get treated. The new is stretching the truth...

^ Yeah, about 250 confirmed cases out of 6.6 billion, that's less than one percent. Only 8 deaths? That's three percent of less than one percent.

Still, no-one wants it right? I mean there's no cure for it so no-one wants it.

250? False. There are over 900 confirmed cases and over 5000 suspected cases, though the chances are that less than 1000 of those 5000 will actually end up having it, and 90-95% of those cases will be mild.
The news isn't stretching the truth - at least, not here. Here, they're giving the truth: it's a big problem, but it won't be one forever. More people will fall ill, but it is being contained. More people will probably die, because you don't get 900 "mild" cases of swine flu, but only a few, because this isn't going to be a worldwide pandemic, even if there are more than 40 countries with confirmed or suspected cases.
To answer Gormy, there's no immediate cure, but it can be treated. The problem is that it's similar to the common cold in two ways: it spreads human-to-human and it spreads airborne. That's why you need to be careful if you sneeze or cough to cover it up - use a tissue and throw it away straight away, or if you cover your mouth with your hands, wash 'em. That's why there are so many suspected cases, because it travels easily. People don't take precautions.

I don't know about you guys, but this feels like the beginning of the end.
Really though, I wouldn't worry about it, it's been so widely blown up by the media. Just go about your life as normal, just be a little more vidulent.

It's spreading pretty quickly and as Cipher said, there's over 900 confirmed. I know that six schools have closed in Maryland, and since I'm in Alexandria, my school may close. I'm not too worried about it unless the music from that online disease game starts playing on the radio.:p
