If they absolutely have to do that I hope it isn't something that could be potentially detrimental to the gameplay if you don't own a DSi. I personally aren't too keen on having to buy another DS just so I can play a game for the system properly.

It'll probably be added features the DSi can provide, which won't be necessary to the game or the plot much.
WOOHOO! *throws party*

Glad to see the game announced. Really can't wait!

I'll probably get HG, since I like Ho-oh a lot more than Lugia. Not that I'm using Legendaries, I'll wait for the version exclusives ;)

Anyways, I'll probably start with Chikorita. Never used the little guy and I finally start to like him :D

Better come out really soon :P
Knew it. It was inevitable since RBYG got remade in Generation III. So getting a DS Lite now.

- Sevii Islands NEED to be there.
- Maybe add a MART to the relatively empty Lake of Rage
- Restore Kanto for sure, I'd played Red, and Crystal's Kanto was a letdown
- Keep Mt. Moon Square, but update Mt. Moon itself so you don't have to go through the square to reach the other side
- RE-OPEN CERULEAN CAVE
- We need Celebi

That is all.

This.

The only reason we didn't have Celebi in GSC anyway is because the event type thing was never released outside Japan. Now it can be.
Wasn't there a camera feature in GSC? And the DSi has cameras...

Anyway, I'm gonna get SoulSilver. Start with either Totodile or Cyndaquil- I like Cyndaquil best, but with PMD2, I learned to like Totodile.
And I can finally get Lugia. And Entei without having to go through my FR with my least favorite of the Kanto starters.

No, there wasn't a camera feature in GSC.
I distinctly remember something like that.

Although that may have been the printer...

Yeah, that was the Game Boy Printer.

Also keep in mind that both Lugia and Ho-Oh are available in each game, but which you get changes which one you can get first and their level. If I remember correctly, in Silver, you got Lugia first at LV.40, then Ho-Oh later at LV.70, and vice-versa for Gold.

This is correct. But Ho-oh and Lugia were both level 60 in Crystal.
Not to mention Ho-oh was a pain to catch in Crystal, cuz first you had to get Raikou, Entei and Suicune.

Oh well. At least it provides the 1 shiny that isn't a pain to catch: Gyarados.

Here's a question I hope will get answered soon:
Will the Jotho Dex be affected by the introduction of 3rd and 4th Gen Pokemon? If it is, then I can see two more Kimino Girls in Ecruteak. One with Leafeon and the other with Glaceon.

If they decide to keep Trainer animations, then there should only be an animation for one trainer: Red.
