Yes, but that's just me.:)

so you can't put your starter in boxes...................
that is horrilble
Of course you could put your starter in boxes. You could always deposit Pikachu, it just didn't like it.
They need to give Whitney's Clefairy a Life Orb and Magic Guard.
MG removes LO damage, so it's doing 130% damage for free.

I'll be sure to remember that little tidbit in the future :). Thanks for pointing that out Afti.
Anyways, your starter following you in the beginning is great, but this isn't Pokemon Yellow. I wouldn't want Cyndaquil, Pokemon of choice, following me around all the time no matter how much I like him, so I'm all for just having him beside me for a little while and that little while would be great.
I'm sure there are going to be some overworld sprites for Stage 1 and Stage 2 starters as well, taking in the possibility of evolving your starter before meeting Mr. Pokemon, kind of like Rowan commenting on your starter evolving before meeting him in the lab for the first time, but that's for the people who have too much time on their hands :D.
Hmm, maybe they will give uss the OPTION of having our starter follow as when we choose it to? MAybe a choice of many Pokemon :3
Also, apparently, Gym leaders may be like uber strong now due to the likelihood of them having certain moves tied with specials? Well, thats a good thing, itll make the game last that much longer :D

I hope so, Johto goes much to quick.:p
I think the Safari Zone should be reopened. Glitch City can't be done anymore, so there is no reason to keep it closed. Also, what about the Pewter Museum? There is no explanation as to why it closed. There's no need for it, I just wonder why.
I hope thay add some kind of new poketch. It would be cool if you got a cell phone. Also I cant wait to see team Rocket back in Power ( they never should have gotten rid of them).

Gold and Silver had the Pokégear. It was a watch, a radio, a phone and a map.

EDIT: I think it's decorative. Look- it's not aligned with the walkable grid.
A bit late, but are you sure about that?

It looks like a walkway, so I'd say that they've made the lab similar to it's manga counterpart.
I just thought of something: We all know that Gold and Silver for the GBC had items that are not in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. So I'm wonder what will happen when trade a Pokemon from HG/SS with an G/S item or a Pokemon caught by one of Kurt's PokeBalls to Diamond/Pearl/Platinum?
Then again, the Griseous Orb is not tradeable to Diamond or Pearl.
