OK, yesterday I decided, completely out of the blue, to write a Digimon fanfic after watching old episodes of Digimon and feeling nostalgic. So here is the first chapter (I put it in spoiler tags because it took up 5 pages of a word document).
I obviously don't own Digimon though I wish I did cos then it would be less pants than it is at the moment.
NOTE: You may have to be familiar with much of the terminology used in this story. If you're not, you may want to read up on it. I did.

Chapter One: Digital Hazard
Spoiler:
Year: 2007
Location: England, UK, Earth.

I was sitting at my desk, bored out of my mind. Someone I infrequently chat to on the web had sent me several thousand lines of code. I had no idea why, I couldn’t make head or tails of it.
Maybe I should introduce myself first, my name is Adam. I’m fourteen years old and have brown hair and blue eyes. I’m above average intelligence and I just finished school.
Anyway, the code had been sitting on my screen for over twenty minutes. I was just staring at it. Then I had an idea, save it as a different file and open it like a webpage.
I did so, and couldn’t believe my eyes. There on the screen was an image of a world I had only seen in pictures and on TV. When the image started moving I realised it was a live feed. If I clicked on one of the life forms down there, a Digimon, I would be greeted by a new window showing all the details about the Digimon. I zoomed around the Digital world for a while until I came upon a large open space, filled with eggs or cradles. I thought this was some kind of game based on the TV show that I had enjoyed as a kid.
I clicked about for a bit and then my laptop had cut out. This was weird; the laptop was new and had been fully charged. I hit the on switch. And that’s when the freaky thing happened. Instead of loading up properly, the screen flashed a bright white light. Shielding my eyes, I saw on the screen the Digiworld. How had that come back up?
Some strange instinct drew me into opening a drawer on the desk. In it I saw my old Digimon virtual pet sitting on top of some old sheets of paper on which I had ‘created’ my own Digimon after watching the TV show. The virtual pet, which had lost all its power years ago, was glowing with the same light as my laptop. As I watched, it lifted itself out of the drawer, along with the papers and both started spinning around. The small, box shaped virtual pet, with the screen held in place by something that looked like the front of a cage, complete with keyhole, glowed a bright white. The papers were sliced up into what I imagined data would look like and were absorbed into the virtual pet.
The virtual pet then fired a beam of white light at the screen. I felt the same force that had guided my hand to the drawer lift my hand and grab hold of the small device above my laptop screen. Then everything went black.

Then I heard a gruff voice behind me shout out, “Are you OK?”
Sitting up, I turned around and found myself face to face with a small red and blue dog-like Digimon. As you can imagine, I was shocked.
The Digimon looked at me, “Hey, I asked you a question, are you OK?”
I shook my head to clear it and then said, “Yeah, I’m fine.”
The Digimon studied me for a second and then glanced down at my belt. Following his gaze, I saw my virtual pet there, on a keychain. However, it seemed different somehow. Un-clipping it from my belt I took a look at it. It seemed mostly the same, except now it had an image of an egg on it. Even stranger, it was in colour, but the screen used to be in black and white.
The egg was white in colour, but had red stripes around it. Then I heard a rustling behind me. An egg had fallen over on the ground. It looked exactly the same as the one on the device (I could hardly call it a virtual pet now) in my hand.
I walked over to the egg. The Digimon behind me followed, “I don’t remember that egg being there...”
I picked the egg up. As if instinctively, I started rubbing the egg. Then I heard a cracking noise, and looked at the egg in my hands. It glowed and jumped out of my hands. As it fell it reshaped into a dinosaur like figure. It had a reptilian head with two wing like appendages on the back of it. Its body was well-muscled, and it had four arms, ending in claw hands. Its legs were also muscled, and ended in clawed talons. It had two sets of wings on it back, one pair, the larger of the two, stretch out from its top set of shoulder blades, with a wing span of about three metres, while the other pair, set in the bottom set of shoulder blades had a wingspan of about one-and-a-half metres. It had a long tail from the base of its spine, which reached about half the length of its body. Standing upright it was about four foot tall.
As it hit the ground, the light dissipated. Stood with its back turned to me, the creature had golden coloured scales, with red stripes running down its spine and tail. Three individual spines had forced their way out of his spine where the head met the neck. The Digimon wore black shorts with red pockets. His hands had training gauntlets bound on them.
“What kind of Digimon is that?” The Digimon behind me asked,
“Dinomon,” I replied.

Year: 2009
Location: Digital World

“Are you telling me that we can travel to parallel universes?” Dinomon asked incredulously,
“Well, let me see, I just said that, so... yes, I am telling you that,” replied Adam, smiling,
“Don’t get smart with me, or I’ll cook your backside,” Dinomon growled,
“Fine then,” Adam said, giving up, “But yeah, we can go to other worlds. Very similar to our own aside from a certain events changing, like the creation of Digimon,” Adam looked around, then continued, “Good thing that from our world, aside from this place, Digimon only exist as a TV show, so only a select few know about them being anymore than a TV show and other media,”
“Great, so, where are we heading first?” Dinomon asked,
“Well, I thought we’d go collect some Digivolving gear for you,” Adam said, “I mean, so far you haven’t digivolved past Rookie. So, if we go somewhere where this is less of a problem, you’ll be able to digivolve in a multitude of different ways,”
Dinomon shook his head, “So, you’re deliberately rushing into danger, in the hopes of making me digivolve?” he stopped shaking his head, “Sounds like a plan! Where are we headed first?”
“Well I thought we’d head somewhere familiar and go to the Digimon Adventure Universe, shortly after Revenge of Diaboromon. That way not everyone will have a Digimon yet,” Adam replied,
“Great, so how do we get there?”
“Easy, I point my Digivice up into the sky, think about where I want to go and we get transformed into data and taken to that universe,”
“We get turned into data?”
“It’s easier for data to move across space and time than actual matter,”
“Fair point,”
Adam adjusted his goggles on his backwards turned baseball cap and lifted his Digivice towards the sky, “You may want to de-Digivolve for this part, it may be a little rough,”
Dinomon nodded, and was surrounded by a white light. He shrank until he was merely a foot tall, but was still much the same as his previous incarnation. DemiDinomon flew up to Adam’s shoulder, and both were turned to data.

Year: 2003
Location: Japan

Kari and her older brother Tai were walking down the street, with their Digimon walking behind. It had been two whole months since Diaboromon had resurfaced and was once again defeated, and they were going to a meeting of the Digidestined to have a picnic in the Digital World.
Tai hadn’t changed much; however, Kari’s hair was now longer than it had been, now reaching her shoulders, and she had gone through a growth spurt.
Suddenly a freak hole in time and space opened up in front of the two, and a boy, accompanied by a small golden coloured lizard type thing tumbled out, before it closed again.
They continued tumbling until they smacked face first into the wall of a building.

As they fell backwards, Adam said, “Oh man, we’ve gotta work on our landings,”
Kari ran forward, “Are you guys OK?”
Adam stood up, disoriented, and said, “Yeah, although I don’t plan on doing that for a while,”
“I’m with you there buddy,” DemiDinomon groaned, “The headache I’ve got is gonna last at least a week,”
“Well that’s what you get for running head first into a wall,” Tai said, laughing,
Adam snapped out of his stupor first, “You guys are Tai and Kari Kamiya right?”
“Yeah, how do you know that?” Tai asked,
“Uh... internet?” Adam shrugged,
“Makes sense to me,” Agumon said,
Kari walked over to DemiDinomon, and picked him up, “Who’s this little guy?”
“That’s DemiDinomon, I kinda created him a few years ago,” Adam said, taking DemiDinomon from Kari and placing the reptile Digimon on his shoulder, “My name’s Adam, nice to meet you,”
“You created him? Are you a Digidestined too?” Tai enquired,
Adam reached into his pocket for his Digivice and presented it to the two of them, “Does this answer your question?”
Then something weird happened; both Tai’s Digivice and Kari’s D-3 and D-Terminal reacted. They ejected beams of light from their screens into Adam’s Digivice. In their beams images of Tai’s Crest of Courage, Kari’s Crest of Light and Kari’s Digi-egg of Light seemed to move through them.
As the latter arrived in Adam’s Digivice, it sparked and another beam of light shot into Adam’s free hand, forming into a D-Terminal. The three human children stared at the Digivices.
Adam’s D-Terminal beeped, “New Digi-Egg acquired,”
Adam looked at the screen of the D-Terminal and sure enough, the Digi-Egg of Light was there on the screen, “OK, that was unlikely,”
Kari looked at it in shock and then quickly looked at her own D-Terminal. The Digi-Egg was still there, “How?”
Adam shrugged,
Then all hell broke loose.

Several apartments spontaneously exploded and a shadow flung itself from one building to another.
“What the-?” Tai gasped and looked at Adam, “Do you know what this is?”
Adam shook his head, “No,” he looked up and his eyes widened as he saw rubble falling down on them, “Look out!”
“Agumon, digivolve to.... Greymon!” yelled the small dinosaur, as he grew into one much larger,
Greymon punched through the large rubble, scattering it and protecting the three children,

“DemiDinomon digivolve to... Dinomon,” A large piece of rubble which had fallen on the ground was lifted up, with Dinomon holding it, “Could you watch it next time?” he asked Greymon,
Before Greymon could reply, the shadow smashed down into him, forcing him to de-Digivolve to Agumon. It was now close enough to see. It had a large head, a kind of insectoid body, and a joker’s collar. A Keramon.
“What?” Tai exclaimed, “But we-”
Keramon snapped his head around to face Tai, “Erased my brethren? Sure, captured them, sent them off to a better place? Armageddemon was defeated and millions of Kuramon were released, but I kept the conscious mind of Diaboromon and digivolved to Tsumemon and got out of there,”
He opened his large mouth to continue, but was grabbed from behind by Dinomon, two arms holding his neck, and two constraining his body,
“I hate blabbermouths,” Dinomon said, holding onto to the struggling Keramon,
Adam’s D-Terminal and Digivice suddenly bleeped, “Digimon Evolution Lines, scanned and copied, Agumon, Gatomon and Keramon,”
Adam studied the device and then looked at Dinomon, “You want a little back-up?”
Dinomon nodded, “Back-up would be good,”
Adam hammered a button on the D-Terminal, and a beam of light shot out of it and into his Digivice.
Out of it emerged a small dinosaur like creature. As it hit the ground it reared up, so everyone could see it.
“Is that...Agumon?” Tai asked, unable to believe his eyes,
The Agumon snapped its head towards the noise, its pupils were slits.

Taking advantage of the confusion, Keramon broke out of Dinomon’s grip and jumped away.
As it leapt towards a building on the other side of the street, the Agumon yelled, “Pepper breath,” and fired a dozen balls of fire at the retreating Digimon,
Three hit their target, forcing the Digimon to hurtle towards the ground, into the road. Several cars swerved around it, while one unfortunate driver smacked into the fallen Digimon, crunching it under the wheels.
Dinomon flew up into the air, and shouted, “Dino Burst!” and shot several fire balls into the crumpled Digimon.
Keramon was smacked repeatedly into the tarmac, being forced down into the ground.
“Go Dinomon! Teach that bug who’s boss!” Adam shouted,
The Agumon which had emerged from Adam’s Digivice suddenly groaned, and glowed, and shrank.
In its place was a Koromon. Adam looked down at it in shock and picked the small Digimon up,
“Hi,” he said,
“Hello,” the Koromon said, then, “You got anything to eat? I haven’t eaten anything since... well, ever,”
“I’ll find you something in a minute, watch this,” Adam lifted Koromon above his head so he could see the cars,
As Koromon saw Dinomon pummelling Keramon to a pulp, he exclaimed, “Way cool!”
“You said it little buddy,” Adam laughed,

Dinomon flew ten feet into the air, and launched his final attack, “Prehistoric Dive!”
He dived straight down into Keramon, punching through the surface and down into the sewers. Keramon ricocheted off a wall and hurtled off down the sewer network. Meanwhile, Dinomon pulled himself out of the rancid sewer water.
“Mental note, never have an epic battle on the ground of the real world. It stinks,” he told himself,
“Hey, Dinomon! You OK down there?” Ada yelled down the hole,
“Yeah, I’m fine, but Keramon got away,” Dinomon shook his head, “I’m not strong enough to completely defeat him,”
“Not for long you’re not!” Adam said, “Remember that Digi-Egg? Time to use it,”
Dinomon stood up, and shook the sewer gunk off of his body, while Adam selected the Digi-Egg of Light on his D-Terminal, “Digi-Armour Energise!”
Dinomon felt a strange energy flow through his body, “Dinomon, armour Digivolve to...”
He felt the armour fusing itself to him. He was growing, his tail elongating and his second pair of arms merging into his legs. He felt his teeth elongate, the spines on his back elongating and surrounded by feathers. His wings folded into his arms, which gained feathers.
He grew until he was at least 8 foot tall in his crouched state. His training gauntlets changed into Digizoid plated gloves.
His tail became stiff and poised for balance. Finally, his blue eyes turned red as the Digivolution was complete.
“Raptormon, the Hunter of Light,” he claimed, before running down the sewers in pursuit of his prey.

Adam was looking down the hole, “That right there? That was cool,” he said to no one in particular, however, the Koromon sitting on his hat bounced up and down in agreement,
“Hey, what’s your name? Adam, we gotta find Keramon! Your Digimon can find him faster than we can, but if you’re not there then Keramon can still get away!” Tai shouted, as he, his sister and their Digimon made their way down the street.
Adam nodded, and tore after them.

As they reached the high school, the Keramon burst out of a manhole, and stopped momentarily, stunned because of what it had smacked its head into. This was enough for Raptormon to burst through the manhole, creating a hole much larger, and grab Keramon in his mouth. Keramon struggled, then went limp and was disassembled into data.
Raptormon turned his head towards Adam and Koromon, who freaked out,
“Don’t eat me Mr Big Dinosaur Digimon!” he yelled, closing his eyes and covering them with his antennae,
Raptormon looked at Adam, smiled, and then was surrounded by a white light. As it faded, Dinomon stood where Raptormon had been, “That was fun,” he said,
“What? Chasing Keramon or Digivolving?” asked Adam,
“Both,” Dinomon grinned,
“What’s going on here?” asked a new voice,

Turning, Adam, Dinomon and Koromon saw a group of 11 other kids, each with their own partner Digimon, but one of them had two.
Dinomon leant towards Adam, “Dude, it’s the original Digidestined, the new ones and the kid from America,” he whispered,
“Yeah, I know that,” Adam hissed,
And then his Digivice and D-Terminal activated, “Oh no, not again!”
All the Digivices of the kids in front of them started glowing, and fired white light towards Adam’s Digivice and D-Terminal.
“New Digi-Eggs acquired, Digimon Evolution Lines of 12 Digimon copied,” chirped Adam’s D-Terminal,
“I could do without the bright light,” Adam murmured as he studied what had now happened to his equipment,
“OK, what was that?” asked a kid, who wore Tai’s old goggles,
“That would be my Digivice and D-Terminal copying your Digi-Eggs and your Digimon, so basically whatever Digimon you have, I have,” Adam said, without looking up,
“It’s cool!” said the Koromon on Adam’s head,
Kari turned towards Adam, “Who exactly are you?”
“Well...”

Chapter Two: Digivolution

Year: 2003
Location: Japan

“What? A TV show?” Davis yelled, grabbing hold of Adam’s shirt, which looked kind of ridiculous considering that Adam was a lanky 16 year old, whilst Davis was like 13 or something,
“Only in where I’m from, I see your world as a TV show, but it’s perfectly real here,” Adam said, breaking Davis’ grip, “It’s kind of hard to explain, but in its most basic sense, your story passed through the weaknesses in the universes, and landed in the mind of some people, who then created the show,” he paused, then continued, “Weirdly enough, you guys sound exactly like the actors who portrayed you in the dubbed version of the show,” he laughed, much to the annoyance of DemiVeemon, who didn’t get it,
“So let me get this straight, we’re not the product of someone’s imagination despite the way it seems from our point of view, and we are in fact in control of our own destinies,” Izzy piped in,
“Hey, I’m here aren’t I? They didn’t dream me up I can assure you, also, I wouldn’t have been able to get to this point in your history if you were just a TV show,” Adam replied, taking Koromon down from his hat,
“Prodigious, so, how did you get here anyway?” Izzy inquired,
“Well, I dunno, um... pointed this thing at the sky, thought of where I wanted to go and prayed it worked I guess,” Adam told them, holding his Digivice in front of him,
Izzy grabbed the Digivice from Adam’s hands, which left Adam standing there pretty foolishly with his hand holding onto thin air.
Izzy turned Adam’s Digivice upside down, and shook it, then said, “Well, it doesn’t seem any different from any other Digivice, can you even get back?”
“Well, let’s test it, Koromon; get back in the Digivice, Dinomon; turn back into DemiDinomon, and we’ll head off,” Adam pointed his Digivice to the sky as Koromon condensed itself into data and plummeted into the device, while Dinomon glowed and shrank into DemiDinomon, before hopping onto Adam’s shoulder,
Adam closed his eyes, and thought about where he wanted to go. Unaware to him, a column of light struck down on him from the sky, rapidly and violently transforming Adam and DemiDinomon into data.
The light began to fade a little, before suddenly it was strengthened.

The light pummelled into the earth, opening a wormhole in the universe. Adam and DemiDinomon flew out of it. Adam was wearing a different shirt, this time an orange shirt with some logo on it, and a pair of three-quarter length shorts instead of the trousers he’d been wearing last time. He still retained his hat and goggles however.
As Adam stood up, he glanced at DemiDinomon, “See, I told you thirteen times’ the charm,”
DemiDinomon looked at him in disbelief, and shook his head, “I’m not even going to question the likelihood of that,”
“Excellent,”
“Shut up,”
Izzy stepped forward, “Did it work?” he enquired,
“Eventually, yes, I got back fine, then when I tried to get back I was thrown back to the beginning of the day when I first arrived,” Adam paused to consider what he was going to say next, “It kept happening, I followed myself to the point I left at, then this world restarted at the moment I arrived. I finally figured out that this universe has a set timeline that I’m not a part of, I had to get myself here at the moment I left to stop the restart, but as soon as the sun sets I get thrown back out again. I also figured out why Keramon resurfaced, because you were unable to deal with him when he got out, despite being weakened. It was the fact that I had come from the Digital World in the first place, and the amount of data involved in the process of transferring the two of us here was enough to reactivate his program, so we transferred ourselves from our real world instead,” Adam stopped for breath after this lengthy monologue, “And basically, if I leave, you’ll never find out what exists outside your own universe, and you’ll never care. However, I figure, if you lot and your families were to leave with me, then this universe would reset itself as if you’d never left, and you could set out your own destinies, rather than the one laid out for you already,”
At this, Ken Ichijouji piped into the conversation, “What do you mean our destinies?”
“Well, for example, at the end of the TV series, a glimpse into the future, twenty-four years from now, in 2027, was shown, you, Ken, were married to Yolei, and had three children,” Adam paused, then continued, “Everyone in the world had their own partner Digimon, and to be honest, I don’t see that as a great idea,”
Izzy nodded, “I concur, not everyone in the world would have the same respect for people and Digimon as we do. Wars would be fought,” he looked at Adam, “Right?”
“That’s what I thought, there are some real nutcases in this world, so giving them living weapons that could potentially bring a catastrophe to the entire planet isn’t on my to-do list.”
DemiDinomon hissed into Adam’s ear, “Wow, I’m amazed they managed to keep up with all that,”
Ignoring him, Adam spoke again, “If you’re coming, you have until sun down to take whatever you want with you, your stuff, your family, your pets, and obviously your Digimon. And another thing-“
Adam was cut off as a blast of light smacked into him. He was thrown forward, sailing over the Digidestined. A large dust cloud had been thrown up, so they couldn’t see anything,
“DemiDinomon, digivolve to... Dinomon” Dinomon stood in front of the cloud, flexing his claws. The sound of another blast charging up within the cloud was enough for him to summon a red crackling ball of energy in each of his hands, before diving into the dust.
The noise of blasts ricocheting off of objects sounded. Pink and red light shimmered in the dust cloud as Dinomon and whatever was in there attacked each other. Then there was silence.

The dust cloud began to settle, and the Digidestined could see what was going on. Dinomon was being held down by the neck by an Angewomon, though it was smaller than the one Kari’s Gatomon could digivolve to, roughly human size as opposed to some kind of giant.
As Dinomon looked up at her, he stared in shock, “Angewomon?” he grunted through his restricted throat,
“Hi,” Angewomon said shortly, maintaining a firm grip on Dinomon’s neck.
“Golden Armour Energise!” Adam shouted, holding his D-Terminal in the air as he walked through the crowd of Digidestined,
Dinomon looked at Adam, then back at Angewomon, “See ya,” he shouted as he felt the energy build up within him, shoving his leg into her stomach and flinging her into the air,
“Dinomon, Golden Armour Digivolve to...”
Dinomon felt the Digi-Egg activate, providing him with power. He felt golden armour slam onto his body. He grew until he was as tall as Angewomon.
Soon, he was standing there wearing armour very similar to those Magnamon had, except that the shoulder and leg guards were much smaller. The helmet also compensated for his snout, opening to let it through.
“MagnaDinodramon, the Warrior of Miracles,” he shouted, as he charged towards Angewomon.
Firing golden blasts of energy at her, MagnaDinodramon quickly wore Angewomon down, causing her to de-Digivolve to her Rookie Level form, Salamon.
“Salamon!” shouted a girls’ voice,
MagnaDinodramon lifted his hand in the direction of the voice,
“Don’t,” Adam warned, holding his hand in the air, signalling MagnaDinodramon to stop,
A girl of about sixteen ran out of the shadows to Salamon. Picking her up, the girl turned to Adam, “You didn’t have to pulverise her!”
The girl had shoulder length, straight blonde hair, with streaks of brown. She had a thin nose, blue eyes and a caring smile as she examined Salamon. She wore a short sleeved pink top, which didn’t go past her navel. Over this she had a white, hooded sleeveless jacket. She wore a pink skirt with white cycling shorts beneath them. She wore simple shoes and pink socks. Clipped to her belt was a Digivice, similar to Adam’s except that it was white instead of red.
As MagnaDinodramon de-Digivolved back to Dinomon, Adam stepped forward, “Sorry, but you didn’t have to attack me, so we’re even,” he stood in front of her, “Alexis, why did you attack me?”
Alexis looked at her feet, “Well, you didn’t tell me you came here, you should have, I thought we were friends,”
Dinomon looked meaningfully at Adam, “When she puts it like that, it does make it seem like it’s your fault,”
Adam looked ruefully at him, before walking over to Alexis. He placed a hand on her shoulder,
“Sorry I didn’t tell you. You know me, I act before I think,” he smiled at her, “Think about it, I discover I can go to the world that inspired me when I was a little kid. In my shoes, I’m pretty sure you’d have done the same thing,”
Alexis smiled guiltily, “Sorry I attacked you,”
Adam shrugged, “Forget about it, it’s done, let’s move on,”
He walked over to the crowd of Digidestined, who were thoroughly confused at this spectacle.
“Guys, this is my friend Alexis, as far as I’m aware, she’s the only other Digidestined in my world,” Adam opened up the display on his D-Terminal, “You guys have exactly six hours till sun down, if you’re coming, I suggest you head home now, inform your families, briefly, we may have to explain later, bring them with you, unless they’d rather stay here, grab your pets, and whatever, and be back here before then,”
He turned back to talk to Alexis, when the American, Willis, and Mimi stopped him,
“We live in America, we got here today through the Digital World, what are we supposed to do?” Willis asked, his two Digimon, Terriermon and Lopmon sitting on his shoulders,
Adam considered this for several moments, before coming up with a conclusion, “OK, I have no idea precisely where you live, but I can send you there, but we need your help, I’m sure Alexis can help too,” He signalled for Alexis to come over, “I can open up an unspecified portal, but I’ll need your help to specify where, Mimi, if you help me get to your place, and Willis, you help Alexis, then we should be able to get you to your homes for you to get your stuff ready,

Soon Mimi was holding onto Adam’s arm while he used his Digivice to open a portal. Mimi had her eyes closed, concentrating on her home.
Soon the portal was ready, and she headed through, while Adam sat on the ground. Alexis, having helped Willis get to Colorado, sat down next to him, “You okay?”
“Yeah, I’m just taking it all in, this has to be the most amazing thing to happen in the history of mankind,” Adam said, smiling,
Alexis nodded in agreement.
Their two Digimon, tired after all the excitement, were sleeping on the grass bank outside the school building.
Alexis asked Adam, “Did you mean it, are they actually doomed to live out the lives they had at the end of the series?”
“Possibly, I couldn’t say for sure, but that’s what we’ve seen of their universe, and it certainly seems true with the amount of times today got reset. Maybe they have to leave, and set a firm belief to change the future before it can actually happen. If today doesn’t restart if they get back, then we know that the future can be changed,” Adam replied, looking up at the sky,
“The number of things that have defied logic today is unbelievable,” Dinomon grunted, his eyes still closed,
“Agreed,” Adam nodded, “How’d you like Digivolving?”
“It was exhilarating, exhausting, fun and a little scary,” Dinomon said, looking at the sky, “In other words, it was awesome,”
Salamon woke up and looked at him, “Digivolving isn’t that great,”
“Yeah, well you met Alexis when you were at Ultimate Level; I’ve never gotten past Rookie before today.” Dinomon retorted, glaring angrily at Salamon, “However, Armour Digivolving is different; it’s a different level altogether,”
“If I had those Digi-Eggs and the strength to get to Champion Level then I could Armour Digivolve too,” Salamon shouted,
“Hey, no fighting, we should relax, or at least get some food, which reminds me,” Adam paused in his tirade, “I’m starving!”
“You can’t be that hungry,” Alexis said, an eyebrow raised, “When did you last eat?”
“Well, let’s see, replayed the day twelve times, had breakfast a few hours before that... hmm, about fifteen hours ago,” Adam replied,
“Burgers! Cake! Ice Cream! All things that should be in my belly!” Dinomon shouted at the sky,
“Stop talking about food! I’m hungry too,” Salamon piped in, hopping up and down on Dinomon’s head, much to his annoyance,
“Well, okay, how much money do we have?” Alexis asked, giving in. There was no point arguing with a starving teenage boy and two Digimon,
“Who said anything about money, the Digidestined brought a picnic, they’re not gonna need it if they’re leaving here, I say we eat it. That way nothing goes to waste and we arrive home without our stomachs eating themselves,” Adam said,
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, after about three tries jumping through that warp, my stomach was feeling distinctly empty, and I hadn’t been to the bathroom since breakfast, what does that tell you?”
“That we should pig out?”
“Heck yeah!”

Soon the four were sitting around a picnic basket, stuffing their faces with the sandwiches, rice balls and other snacks in there.
Salamon finished a large sandwich, which was almost as big as she was, then warp digivolved into Angewomon, and continued eating.
As this happened, Dinomon just stared at her, “OK, I haven’t been able to digivolve since I turned up, yet you can Digivolve to Ultimate Level after eating one sandwich,” He shook his head, “There’s something seriously wrong here,”
“Well, Digivolving usually means I have to be in danger, so I could throw myself under a car,” Adam suggested, a half-eaten sandwich in his hands,
“There’s getting in danger, and there’s being stupid. That suggestion qualifies for the latter,” Alexis said, laughing,
“How did you get here anyway?” Adam asked her, after swallowing his sandwich,
“Easy, we saw you in the real world holding your Digivice in the air, and as the portal opened around you, we dived in,” Alexis broke a piece off a chocolate bar, “When we found out where we were, we tried to find you,” she popped the chocolate into her mouth, chewed, then swallowed, “I figure that because we jumped through the portal after you, there was a time gap between our showing up and yours by several minutes,”
“Makes sense, so, what else should we do while we wait for the others?” Adam asked,
“Well, we could tour the city and take a look at some of the sites of Digimon attack, like Highton View Terrace. Using our Digimon’s flying capabilities, it shouldn’t take long at all, and it gives us something to do,” Alexis suggested, her blue eyes concentrating on the chocolate bar she was about to devour,
Glancing at the chocolate bar, Adam said, “You know, this is what I like about you Alexis, you have great ideas, and you’re easy to be around, unlike a lot of girls, who make me want to stop existing,”
The four of them broke out laughing.

Later, half an hour before the time limit was up, the other Digidestined and their families arrived, ready to go off onto their next big adventure.

“So, we’re all ready to go then?” Adam asked the assembled crowd of Digidestined, families, Digimon and cat,
Everyone shouted their agreement, eager to be off.
“Right then, Digidestined I’m gonna need your help, when I give the signal I’m going to need you to point your Digivices in the sky, it might help move this very large group better than one or two Digivices,” Adam jumped up onto a fence so he could get a good look at the crowd, “And I want all of you to maintain physical contact with me, such as putting a hand on my shoulder or something. If you can’t manage that, contact with Alexis, or someone who is in contact with either of us. Digimon you do the same, and Mrs Kamiya, hold onto that cat. Your suitcases and everything just need to be touching you for them to be transported,” he climbed down from the fence, and got in front of the crowd, “Let’s be off then,”
He nodded to Alexis, and she held her Digivice open in the sky. Adam did the same, and the two of them both began concentrating on home. Adam shouted to the crowd to get ready, at which all of them placed a hand on shoulders. The Digidestined held their Digivices to the sky as well. The light plummeted to the ground with enough force to punch a hole in the concrete around them as they were transformed into data and transferred out of the universe.
As the light receded, a passenger in a van carrying electrical goods gaped out the window, “Did you see that?!” he asked the driver,
“No, I was sleeping,”
“But you’re driving!”

The beam of light smacked into the park, creating a large pit in the ground. As soon as everyone’s data reformed, everyone collapsed from exhaustion.
All the Digimon had reverted to their In-Training level, having given up so much energy during the transferring.
Adam and Alexis lay groaning on the ground. They felt the food they had eaten a few hours ago had been zapped straight out of their stomachs.
Everyone had a large headache from the transference. Adam and Alexis recovered first.
“I don’t think we planned far enough ahead,” Adam said, a hand holding onto his head,
“What do you mean?” Alexis asked, massaging her temples,
“Well, clearly transporting a large group of people takes a lot of energy, and also, we didn’t plan for having them stay did we?”
“I see your point, but what can we do? They’d have been doomed to a life unaware of what’s out here if we hadn’t,”
“Yeah, I suppose, but, still, we really should have planned ahead,”
“Hmm,”
Standing shakily, Adam shouted out to the crowd of people, “OK, listen up, I’ve made a slight miscalculation, and didn’t plan for you guys to stay anywhere,” he stopped talking and looked round at everyone, “Sorry about that, but if you’d like to stay here for a bit while I make some arrangements, I’m sure we can get this mess sorted out,”
“Adam, shut up and get over here,” Alexis called over to him, having borrowed Izzy’s laptop,

Adam stumbled over to her, “What?”
“I’ve just put up an image of their Universe, look at this,” she passed him the computer,
Looking at the screen, Adam saw several windows open, each imaging the homes of the Digidestined. The time read exactly five minutes after they had left, and each home was, “Empty?”
Alexis nodded, “Yep, my guess is we weren’t punching a big enough hole into their universe, and so couldn’t affect anything. That blast that took them here allowed the two universes to synchronise, we can get through properly now,”
Adam gaped at her, “This means that now we have to send them back? Great, I don’t think we have enough energy for that,”
“I don’t think we need it, apparently the whole allows Gennai to communicate across the universes, and he says we can just reverse the process, but, and this is where the message gets a little confusing, he says we’d need the power of four Digivices to do so. But we have much more than that, unless he means just our Digivices, but we only have two of them, and they’re not that powerful,” Alexis shook her head, “Help me out here, I don’t know what this means,”
Adam’s Digivice started glowing, “Well maybe it means this,”
Alexis’ Digivice glowed too.
Adam ran off in front of the crowd, “Hey, listen up! If you have a glowing Digivice, lift it into the air, because I’m sure something is going to happen!” he and Alexis raised their Digivices into the air. They were quickly followed by two other Digivices, but it was unable to see who they belonged to as everyone was surrounded by a white light, before everything went dark.

Adam woke up on the floor of the car park. His head didn’t hurt, and he felt a surge of energy, as if they’d never jumped through the hole in the universe. Instead of mid-afternoon, like it’d been when they left, the sun was high in the sky, like it’d been when he had sent the Digidestined off.
Sitting up, he felt an unusual weight in his hand where his Digivice had been before. Looking at it, he saw an object, about 13 centimetres long, and 8 wide. It had a black rubber hand grip, a white casing, and a three buttons, one with directional arrows on it, and two others next to it. There were also two parts of red casing over it, and a small screen. It had an antenna, and a small orange button. By pressing it, a small USB adaptor flicked out of the top of the device, which could be pushed back in easily. Basically it looked like an upgraded D-3.
Then it switched on, the screen lighting up with a red glow, “Hello Adam,” a smooth female voice came out of the device, “This is your new D-Cypher. It is a powerful new Digivice, and allows Digivolution in a number of ways. You and three others have been chosen to use this new tool to save the universes. I await your arrival,” the voice stopped speaking, and the D-Cypher switched off.
“Wait, who are you?” Adam asked, the blank screen, before shrugging, clipping the D-Cypher to his belt, and standing up.
All the Digidestined and their Digimon were lying on the ground. Adam figured that time had reversed to the point before he’d sent them off to pack up their stuff and collect their parents. They were beginning to stir, so Adam tried to get them to move it.
“Come on you lot! Wakey, wakey, eggs and bakery!” he shouted, clapping his hands together,
Alexis woke up first, holding her head, until she saw the D-Cypher in her hand, which cleared whatever headache she’d had. Hers had white casing all over, and the light emitted from the screen was white. Adam assumed she had received a message similar to the one he had.

As everyone else woke up, Adam jumped onto the fence, “Alright, who’s got one of these?” he asked them, holding his D-Cypher in the air,
Willis came forward, holding a D-Cypher with a yellow casing rather than a red one. Kari also came forward, though her D-Cypher had a pink casing.
“So, that’s what he meant by four,” Alexis murmured, “I’m guessing this in the new team,”
“Okay guys, sorry for bringing you back to the start, but apparently everything reset because of a kind of bubble set around your universe. We couldn’t make a lasting difference, so we assumed you were stuck in a doomed existence, however, I figure now that the one we were shown was a possible future, and you can do whatever the heck you want to with your lives,” Adam laughed nervously, scratching the back of his head, “Heh, sorry about that,”
“Wait, so our parents and stuff are at our homes right now?” Kari asked, an eyebrow raised,
“Yes, it would appear so,”
“So, what do we do about this,” she held her D-Cypher out, “I suppose we’re on a team now, but if we live in different countries or universes, how are going to stay in contact?”
“Hmm...” Adam closed his eyes as he considered this dilemma, “I have an idea, if we can open a doorway from one universe to another, why not a corridor to our homes? If I were to use the Digivice to activate a doorway, we should in theory be able to stay in contact easily without ripping our stomachs out,”
Everyone was a bit confused by this, so Adam decided it would be better to show them individually. He sent everyone to their own homes (and told Willis and Mimi to head through the Digital World), before he and Alexis followed Kari and Tai home, with their Digimon.

Everyone was sitting in the Tai and Kari’s room, either on the floor or the bed.
“OK, do you have a door that won’t be used for people coming in or out of rooms?” Adam asked,
“Well, there is the closet,” Kari suggested,
“Great,”
He led everyone out of the room and in front of the cupboard, “OK, here is where we open a portal. I’ll open up the initial portal within the door,” he pressed his D-Cypher against the door, and concentrated on an empty universe, that looked like an empty white corridor, with no distinguishing marks. He then imagined the other side of this door appearing there. As he finished, the door swung open. He imagined doors in the other Digidestined’s homes appearing, and doors appeared. Finally, he imagined a wardrobe door in his room and a cupboard door in Alexis’ house.
As he looked around the corridor, he saw that images of the Digivices that resided there, along with the name of its respective Digidestined (singular or plural) had appeared on the door.
“You know, a lot of this doesn’t make sense,” Agumon said to Dinomon, scratching his head with his claws,
“Trust me, this kind of thing happens on a regular basis with Adam, you get used to it after a while,” Dinomon shrugged,

After opening and closing the door a couple of times, which resulted in the corridor being inaccessible without a Digivice first being pressed towards the entranceway, otherwise it was just a closet, Adam was finally satisfied.
“OK guys, we’re off to explain how these doors work to everyone else, so, talk later I guess.” Adam said, rushing Dinomon, Alexis and Angewomon into the corridor,
“Bye!” Kari called as the door closed,
“Yeah, see ya later,” Tai shouted,
Agumon and Gatomon waved as the door clicked shut.

Adam lay spread-eagled on his bed. Telling everyone about the doorways had been tiring, but at least they no longer had to spend vast amounts of energy getting from one universe to another.
Dinomon had de-Digivolved to DemiDinomon, and was perched on one of the bed posts, like a guardian dragon.
Adam picked up the D-Cypher he had left on the bedside table, “Who was that?” he thought to himself as he remembered the voice that had issued from the device, “What did she mean, save the universes? As if I don’t have enough on my plate already, and what did she mean when she said she awaits my arrival? What has any of this got to do with me? Uh, stupid question, I asked for this,”
Just then, his computer bleeped. Alexis had signed into the online messenger. Adam shifted himself into the swivel chair and sent a barrage of emoticons at her to emphasise how exhausted he was.
The subject changed a multitude of times, but one conversation they had was somewhat interesting,
Adam says: Hey, a thought just occurred to me, :)
Alexis says: What?????!???///??
Adam says: We’ve never really explored much of the Digital World here. There was some stuff that happened, but we always stuck around the lower levels and had fun. Nothing dangerous actually ever happened. :(
Alexis says: Wut’s ur point?
Adam says: I just want to know what’s going on up on the upper levels is all
Alexis says: Well I dunno
Alexis says: Sorry, i g2g now, dinner. :P
Adam says: K bye

Adam surfed the web for a while, watched a few videos of people hurting themselves, before switching off and going to bed.
As he lay on his bed he looked gloomily at DemiDinomon, “Why is it that the world has begun to suck?”
DemiDinomon shrugged, having curled up on the post, “Something tells me that it won’t change unless we do something,”
Adam just stared at him. DemiDinomon shrugged, and asked, “What?”
Adam shook his head and said, “Sorry, it’s hard to take your comments seriously when you sound like a six year old kid with a speech impediment,” he laughed,
His laughter was cut short as DemiDinomon head butted him in the gut. Gasping and winded, Adam fell off the bed, groaning.
“That’s what you get,” DemiDinomon said huffily, flitting over to the top of Adam’s wardrobe.
“Owww,” Adam moaned, clutching his aching stomach, “For an In-Training Digimon you pack one heck of a wallop,”
DemiDinomon just laughed, before curling up and falling asleep.

Adam’s wardrobe door slammed open, causing him to jump awake and fall out of his bed again. Standing up, he glared at Alexis, Kari and Willis, who had come in without warning, while he’d been sleeping.
“What is it now?” he asked exasperatedly, keeping his voice down so no one else in the house would hear,
“Earlier you asked why we hadn’t gone to the upper levels of the Digital World, well, now’s our chance. We’ll have a brief look tonight, then arrange something that’ll get us out of the way so we can explore them more thoroughly tomorrow, like a camping trip,” Alexis whispered, leaning against the door frame while Kari and Willis waited in the corridor, “Throw some clothes on and let’s get moving,”
Adam looked down at himself, saw he was just wearing his pyjamas, looked up again and said, “OK, close the door, I’ll be done in a sec,”
Alexis smiled, closing the door to the wardrobe.
After securing the wardrobe door so they wouldn’t interrupt, Adam put on the clothes he had on earlier and grabbed his D-Cypher and clipped it to his belt. He then picked up DemiDinomon, who was still sleeping, by the tail and dropped him to the floor to wake him up.

Adam unblocked the wardrobe door, let the other three in with their Digimon and locked his bedroom door to prevent anyone looking in while he wasn’t there. He loaded up his laptop and opened the program that would allow him to enter the Digital World
“So, does this work like it did in our world?” Kari asked,
“Sort of, ‘cept of course we don’t have to say ‘Digiport open’ to open it, we just have to hold the D-Cypher there and press a button on it,” said Adam as he held his D-Cypher in front of the screen, “Of course, I don’t know which button, so we’re going to try all of them,”
Eventually, he hit the right button, and the group were transformed into data and sucked into the screen.

Year: 2009
Location: Digital World – Level 5

The world flipped upside down as the four kids and their Digimon landed in the Digital World.
After they untangled themselves, they looked around. The Digital Sun was high in the sky, over a large plain. There was a mountain in the distance to the North, and to the South, a sparkling ocean. To the East a forest loomed, and to the West, a desert spanned as far as the eye could see.
“Where are we?” Willis asked, gazing out at the bright world,
“Level Five of the Digital World, which is the highest level we’ve ever been to, we’ve always stuck with Levels one and two,” Alexis told Kari and Willis, while Adam was just gaping at the size of the world,
Just then, a herd of Monochromon stampeded past the children, shocking Adam back into reality as he was caught up in the middle of it.
“Woah!” he shouted, as he almost got impaled on a Monochromon’s facial horn, “Hey, guys, a little help would be good right now!”
Dinomon sprung into action, having Digivolved on the way here, and jumped on a Monochromon’s back. He then jumped from Digimon, looking for Adam.
Adam narrowly dodged another blow, but was swept up by the force of the Dinosaur Digimon’s speed.
“Ahh!” he shouted as he was flung into the air,
Dinomon looked up, and flung himself through the air, toward the rapidly descending boy.
“Dinomon! Be careful, there’s one with the X-Antibody headed right for him!” Alexis shouted,
Dinomon, still speeding towards Adam, looked down at the stampeding herd and saw that a Monochromon, bigger than the rest, and with a huge facial horn, resembling a large sword, charging right in the direction that Adam was falling. Dinomon knew he wouldn’t be able to hold off the Champion level Digimon if it was charged up by the X-Antibody, but he changed his course to intercept that of the Monochromon, to save Adam.

Adam saw Dinomon speed toward the Monochromon X almost in slow-motion,
“Dinomon!” he shouted, and as he did so, he felt his D-Cypher begin to shake. Glancing at it as he fell, he saw it glow.
Dinomon felt it too and just as he slammed into the Monochromon’s sword horn, “Dinomon, Digivolve to....”
As his claws grabbed the horn, he felt his entire body increase in mass. He became bigger, almost fifteen feet tall, and his muscle mass increased. The training gauntlets he wore grew in size, and gained three huge metal claws which he could use to tear through anything.
A helmet appeared on his head, made of Chrome Digizoid, and protecting the top half of his head, while two holes appeared for the wing-like appendages on the back of his head to poke through.
His blue eyes changed into a deep red, and he gained some Digizoid shin guards and shoulder plates.
“Dinodramon!” he shouted, as he stopped the Monochromon in its tracks,
Adam landed on his back, and slid down to the floor, “Woah! He digivolved,”
Dinodramon lifted the helpless Monochromon X into the air, then punched it, sending it flying into the stampeding Monochromon and stopping them in their tracks.
Dinodramon was preparing to follow it when he noticed he had picked up a strange energy in his hands.
Adam recognised it, “The X-antibody, hang on,” he pulled out his D-Terminal and held it towards the antibody, which scattered into data and flowed into the D-Terminal, which beeped to signify a successful assimilation of it. Once this was done, Adam grinned up at Dinodramon, “You finally Digivolved then?”
Dinodramon smiled beneath his helmet, “Yeah, finally, I’m at Champion level,”
“Now we have to aim higher, but at least we can get you to Champion level now,” Adam said, running up Dinodramon’s back and sitting on his shoulders, “Now, onwards!” he shouted, pointing toward the forest,
The four and their Digimon travelled around the Digital World until they were bored; however, during one of their breaks, they sat down and had some discussions. One such discussion was about how each one of them had met their Digimon. Kari and Willis didn’t really have to explain much, as Adam and Alexis knew much of it from watching the TV show.
Adam explained how he met Dinomon, and then it was Alexis’ turn.
“Well, I’d just moved to the area, and I didn’t know anybody. I met Adam because we shared the same taxi to school, and we go to the same school, so he offered to show me around the village and hang out,” Alexis began,
“However, unbeknownst to me, she had got herself a Digimon virtual pet, which she had raised to Angewomon when she first came to my place,” Adam interrupted, “So my computer reacted with the virtual pet and we were both sucked into the Digital World, where Alexis met her Angewomon,” Adam paused, “And, I suppose we’ve been friends ever since,”
Alexis and Angewomon nodded.
“So, I suppose we’d best be getting back,” Adam said, looking at his watch, “Let’s-,“ he was unable to finish this sentence as a large gaping hole opened up in the ground beneath them, dragging the kids and their Digimon into an abyss,
As they fell through the darkness, they could sense something moving. But what?

Year: 2009
Location: Unknown

I don’t know where I am...
The last thing I remember, I was with Alexis, Kari and Willis. But where are they now? And where am I?
All I can see is darkness. I don’t know how long I’ve been here.
I can feel some sort of liquid around me. Am I underwater? No, I’m breathing, but what is this stuff?
Don’t be afraid,
Who’s there? And I’m not,
Why not?
I watch a lot of TV. Nothing really surprises me. Well, except for this, but it’s not scary. I’m actually more worried for my friends.
They’re worried about you as well,
How long have I been here?
Three days,
Three? But what about my family? They must be worried sick!
Don’t worry about that. It’s taken care of.
I suppose I’ll ask later if you’re going to keep being cryptic. But you still haven’t answered my first question. Who are you?
All in good time, my young friend,
I think I recognise your voice... you’re the voice from the D-Cypher.
Yes, and you’re waking up,
What?

Adam opened his eyes, and found himself in some kind of stasis tube. He had an oxygen mask on, and he was suspended in a transparent green liquid. He could see three other tubes, and each one contained one of his friends. Alexis seemed unaffected, but both Willis and Kari appeared to be taller, and more mature in their appearance. Aside from Adam, everyone was still deep in sleep. Thankfully, everyone wore some kind of jumpsuit which helped reduce potential embarrassment.
‘You’re not getting out without my help, so listen up. While you’ve been in here, various experiments have been done on you and your friends. Kari and Willis have the only visible changes, so don’t worry, but I’ve managed to contact you to help you out,’ the voice echoed in Adam’s head,
‘You mean the fact that they look sixteen years old instead of thirteen?’ Adam thought,
‘Yeah, pretty much,’ the voice whispered,
‘So, how do I get out of here?’
‘Easy, the experiments allow you enhanced strength and speed, so you can punch through the glass,’
‘This is insane,’ Adam thought as he formed a fist with his left hand, and struck the six inch glass pane of his stasis tube. It cracked, but it didn’t budge. He punched it again and again, until finally the glass shattered. Adam jumped out of the tube, stumbled a little, then proceeded to wrench open the doors of the other stasis tubes.
As he did so, the others began waking up.
“Hey, Adam! Get us out of here!” shouted a voice,
Looking down, Adam saw that the Digimon had been locked in a cage. He ripped the door off its hinges, and let them out.

‘Great, now get me out,’ the voice told him,
“What?” Adam asked out loud,
‘To the right there is a door, open it, there’s a computer inside, as well as some type of belt thing. Put that on, and get it near the computer so I can get out,’ this voice was getting rather pushy, but Adam complied.
He ran into the room and saw a belt like thing hanging on a hook. It had two belts instead of one, and went over the shoulders like a jacket. On one side of the belt there was a round white glass orb set into the metal plating, with a buckle beneath it, of which the other half slid into to hold the belt onto Adam’s chest over the jumpsuit. He walked over to the computer, and was shocked when the red orb began glowing brightly. He felt a strange presence move into the orb.
“What was that?” Adam asked, speaking to himself,
“That was me, sorry about this, but this is the easiest way for me to get from A to B,” said the voice, except this time it came from the orb on the belt,
“Just who the heck are you, because you’re really starting to freak me out!” Adam demanded, shouting now,
“Calm down! I’m an Artificial Intelligence program that exists within the Digital World. My designated name is Alpha, as I am the first and most powerful AI in the system,” Alpha said, causing the orb to glow with each word,
“And you chose us to do what exactly?” Adam asked, remembering what Alpha had said when the D-Cypher had appeared in his hand,
“As I said when you got the D-Cypher, it was to save the universes,”
“That isn’t very specific,”
“It never is,”
“Touché. So, you don’t exactly know what you want us to save the world from do you?”
“Um... no, not really. But there’s no time for that now, you have to save your friends,”
Adam whirled around and some saw strange, indistinct beings descending on his friends, who were struggling to move. The Digimon were trying to fend the beings off, but to no avail.
“I can’t deal with those things, even with this new power,” Adam shook his head,
“I was actually expecting you to notice the sword by now, but,” Alpha sighed, “it’s in the corner,”
Adam looked into said corner and saw a katana, which had two blades parallel to each other coming from the hilt. The hilt was bandaged, and the bandage had symbols inked into it. Grabbing the sword, Adam used his enhanced speed to run into the room and started slicing at the creatures. The Digimon were still defending their partners.

Although Adam had made a valiant effort, the kids were still trapped by these things. Suddenly, the D-Cyphers which had been left lying on the cage the Digimon had been in shone and glowed, and the kids and the Digimon were taken through a Digiport in the computer. Their destination, unknown.

Chapter Five: Time is like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-whimey... stuff.
Spoiler:
Year: 2009
Location: Digital World – Level Five

Adam landed face first in the long grass. As he picked himself up, he saw his clothes were back, and he could feel the belt under his shirt. The sword was lying next to him in the grass, both blades glinting in the sunlight.
He stood up, and looked around. Everything seemed much the same before they had been pulled down that hole. Then he heard a rustling in the grass.
Snatching up the katana he whirled around, but it was only the other’s waking up. The clothes Alexis had been wearing had reappeared. However, as Willis and Kari had grown, the clothes they had been wearing would no longer fit. Instead, new clothes had appeared, that would fit. Kari was wearing a pink short sleeved polo neck minidress and shoes similar to those she had worn before, but only a size or two bigger. Her hair clip was gone, so a few strands of hair fell over her face. Willis was wearing clothes very similar to those he’d been wearing when he had first met the other Digidestined.
Alexis gained full consciousness first, and gasped when she saw what had happened to the other two, “Adam, what happened?”
“Obvious question is obvious,” Adam sighed, “They got older, to about our age, I don’t know how, though maybe the sarcastic AI knows,” Adam tapped at the belt,
“I’m so flattered,” Alpha remarked, the orb in the belt glowing,
“AI, as in Artificial Intelligence?” Alexis asked,
“No, AI, as in Aged Insects,” Alpha said sarcastically,
“Not funny, at all,” Adam said shaking his head,
“Fine, it’s about time I made an appearance,” the orb began shining, projecting a blood red light,
Adam gasped, as an image formed, the orb now projecting a woman, tinted red due to the light. She wore some kind of jumpsuit, and her hair, which seemed to be blonde, but like the rest of her was tinted red,

As the glow from the orb receded, Alpha took a good look at her surroundings. She was still tinted red, and was mildly transparent, but it seemed as though she was physically there.
She looked around at the kids and their Digimon, who were just gaping at her.
“What?” Alpha asked, shrugging her shoulders,
“I can honestly say I wasn’t expecting that,” Adam said, not taking his eyes off of Alpha,
“What did those things do to us?” Kari asked,
Alpha tilted her head before replying, “Well, they conducted various experiments on you, mostly to find out what you were. They saw you and Willis as incomplete, so they aged you physically to the level Adam and Alexis are at, as they saw them as complete beings,”
“Yeah, and they gave me super strength and speed,” Adam said, grinning,
Alpha turned to him, a guilty look on her face, “Actually I was lying about that,”
“But I punched through the glass! And my reactions were unbelievable!” Adam gaped at the AI program in front of him,
“Well, actually when they took you guys from here, you were banged up pretty bad. They had to replace parts of your spine with some robotic parts, and your entire left arm. They also placed a computer in your head to help you function a lot better,” Alpha replied, shaking her head,
“Excuse me lady, but I have my whole arm here, and my spine. And there’s no pain,” Adam gestured at his left arm to emphasise the point,
“Well, you’re currently made of data, so they merged your program with one that can constantly regenerate. Your body is now made of machine and organic parts,” Alpha sighed, “And you are practically indestructible,”
“Sweet,” Adam said, impressed, then his expression turned serious, “OK, earlier, you said we’d been here for three days, and that something had been dealt with so our families wouldn’t worry. What did you mean by that?”
Alpha’s expression turned suddenly guilty, “Well, when you got sucked through that hole, the entire Digital World was affected. It had to be, I’d brought you through to my corner of the world, and I’m not supposed to do that. So the Digital World compensated by speeding up time here. So, it’s still the same day you left in your world,”
“OK, great, so how do we get back?” Alexis asked,
“You don’t, I’m afraid,” Alpha stated matter-of-factly, “When the world sped up it blocked off the way back, and I can’t slow it down again. I didn’t make the acceleration happen, therefore I can’t stop it. You don’t get to go home until the problem is fixed. Thankfully, you won’t age while you’re here,”
“Great, so now we’re stuck with a problem,” Adam sighed, “Anyway, I have a few questions, like, what were those things that attacked us?”
“Rogue programs. They don’t understand complex things like me or you, so they lock us up to analyse us. If they find a pattern, they’ll analyse and replicate it. They're harmless and confused. Don't blame them for it,” Alpha replied,
“And this?” Adam swung the katana,
“It's a very sharp, very weird-looking sword, what more do you want?”
“Fair enough, and the belt?” Adam asked as it phased through his shirt to rest on top of it,
“My transport for now, you see, when I spoke to you through your D-Cyphers, that was a small portion of my full personality, I was split up when you first made contact,” Alpha explained, “It took two years for me to regain control over that part of my personality to grant you the D-Cyphers. You helped that process by punching through the borders of different worlds, effectively giving me greater contact with you,” Alpha explained, leaving almost everyone confused,
“So, let me clear this up, due to my getting to the Digital World in the first place, you were broken up across this world, and I assume we have to find it before something cataclysmic occurs, and then we figure out a way back?” Adam looked around at the others, then back to Alpha, “Am I close?”
Alpha stared at him for a full three seconds before delivering her stunned reply, “Uh, yeah, bang on the dot there,” she paused, then looked at him, “How high is your IQ?”
“Very high,”
“That doesn't explain much,”
“Nope,”
“Are you going to stop being more vague than I am?”
“Probably not,”
“Okay,”
I am going to definitely be watching this fan-fic!

Now a few notes...well...one to be exact..

Good point... Will remember that.

OK I have a few exams this week (at least one a day until Friday), so I will be unable to write any new chapters (for any of my fics) until next week (probably at the end, I have exams next week as well  ).
Yeah, so you'll have to wait til then.
Awesome. I'm a major Digimon fan(*points to username*) so I think I'm gonna like this.

Yeah, Kudamon was in Data Squad I believe. We may be going there. Maybe.
That's pretty awesome! I can't wait to read the rest!
Finally, a non-Pokemon Fan Fic. Not saying those ones aren't good but we need various types of Fics. This was a good length and was fun to read. I am one of those people who likes to read fics like these. I advise you to space out your paragraphs and certain sentences. You should also add a little of what the person or digimon is doing while or after he speaks. For example:

“Are you telling me that we can travel to parallel universes?” Dinomon asked incredulously,

You could add a little to that to make your Fic look more descriptive.

“Are you telling me that we can travel to parallel universes?” Dinomon asked incredulously; scratching the top of his head with his claws. Dinomon seemed to be standing there impatiently waiting for a reply from Adam.

Aside from all of those little things, the fic is good. I hope to see another chapter up soon... watch more Digimon if that will get you into that writing mood if you have to. You have to give the people what they want! :P

Finally I'm being asked to watch Digimon! That has never been done before. :P
Yeah, I'm starting writing the new chapter now, however, it will not be finished until next week anyway. Time to write another 5 pages on a word document! :P
Awesome, another fanfic! Not really into Digimon, but I surely look forward to this story!

Yeah, he was introduced in the Data Squad era, although that particular version isn't as good as the original one with purple markings.

And, NP, this isn't the only non-Pokémon fanfic around... <_<*Dragon flies by*
