stairs only scare me when they don't have anything under them, and there like, sticking out of the wall. or look weak.
but stairs that have like, walls, under them I don't mind. one time at my grandmas house ( it was still being built ) the stairs where not finished and just looked like flimsy wood, needless to say I never saw the upstairs until they where finished.
It depends, if there are barriers at either side, then I'm fine. However if there aren't...
You see it all goes back to when I was in a certain theme park in a certain city called. I had just got on one of the rides for a fourth time because I loved it so much, but as we were about to go down the final drop, it happened. The ride had stopped. All who were riding were instructed to get off and make their way down the stairs. I was ok, until I took one step, looked down and saw how high I was. I tried grabbing for a railing or similar, but there was none, I lost my balance and nearly fell off.
I was absolutely terrified. So now stairs without barriers or stairs with gaps in between sets that allow you to see how far you would fall are a big no-no.
Oh and if you were wondering how I got down the steps, I sat down and of nervously edged my way down. Must've taken like half an hour. lol
It's amazing that almost everyone who replied to this thread has a story that deals with stairs.:p I'm just glad I'm not the only one who thinks they can be scary.:P

Did I have a story that deals with stairs?
Being scared of stairs isn't really a bad thing. It's nothing to be ashamed of. If not for this thread though, we might not have found out just how many people on Acanthite are afraid of stairs.
I'm not afraid of stairs, but I used to live in a "Haunted house," and whenever I would go up or down the stairs, I felt very noscious. That house was freaky...
I can't say that I have any problems with stairs. I mean, if they go too high, I get a little anxious, but otherwise, I'm just fine with them. Now ladders are a completely different subject matter and I think we should just stick to stairs for now ^^'
it is kinda really creepy when its at a hotel at night running room to room...
Admin Edit (Fangking Omega): Old thread revived. Make sure you're up to date with our rules.

For some reason I always fall down the stairs at my friend's house, every time I tried to go down. Never happened anywhere else though... O.o
