I've done it. I've discovered a way to get back access to your game with a corrupted mapinfos file. Here's how.
Step 1: Create a new project
Step 2: Create as many empty maps as your game has maps.
Step 3: Save.
Step 4: Replace the corrupted mapinfos file with the one from the new project.
Step 5: Rejoice! Your maps are saved, albeit nameless and not sorted. But the important thing: you don't have to start over.
