Seriously. I'm actually asking you. I retired because I thought our members were sensible and could handle noobs in the right manner.
A select few of you just want and crapped on that theory.
You KNOW what to do if you see a spam thread like that. You report it and wait for someone to clean it up. Just because one of us doesn't come to your aid in five seconds is NOT a valid reason to start spamming yourself. If you posted in that thread, you spammed.
Now, I will admit that various posts in that thread were reported, in total, twelve times. This is good. What isn't as good is that most of those posts broke the rules because one of our regulars decided to have a go at one of the two idiots in that thread.
Don't make me come back. I like retirement and I was just starting to get better. I don't expect stuff like this to happen.
YES COME BACK! Nah, just kidding. Enjoy your retirement. :D
But, about those two guys in the thread... I was banned for five days and come back seeing this?! The newbies... not their best, nor their worst.
And yes, we should invent a device to chip into the moderators' brains to ring off when someone breaks a rule. :P
Don't worry, Cipher, as utterly embarrassing and appalling as that thread was, you didn't have to clean it as someone else would have got there too. Don't stress yourself or you might mess yourself ;)
You dont need to 'come back', but you can always be on guard, just in case ~
I regret to say that the thread kind of maade me giggle and uplifted my mood o.o
I have a minor suggestion though to prvent some rubbish building up over night. Do we have have any respectible members in the Eastern side of the world? Someone that will be awake and alive during the hours most of the moderation team is asleep? If so, maybe keeping an eye on them is a good idea?
Dont get me wrong, Im not saying the team sucks or anything, but mayeb a little extra coverage wouldnt be a bad idea ~
[Did this spiral off too much? o.o]
I thought that our members were better than that, it was quite obvious from the first couple of posts that this was a spammer, lets just hope that it was a one of incident.
Now go and enjoy your retirement, perhaps go on that over 65s Singles Cruise you've always wanted to go on. :p
Edit: Post 151! My Kanto post count is complete, bring on the Johto posts. ^_^
Well, some of us sensible ones were - SENSIBLE enough - not to post there. I think I reported that thread. Did I or was it someone else? Or did you find it?
Well, the problem was probably n00bs don't read the rules. You should - OK, COULD - make a validation QUIZ like the GTS+ Forums and your account would not be activated unless you answered EVERY SINGLE answer CORRECTLY. Could work. Simple. OK, complicated.
But enjoy yourself, Cipher.

Not sure about RESPECTABLE, but otherwise, that's me alright. Are you implying that such a member be a moderator?
I reported the thread and tried to get some people to refrain from posting in it. But I'm glad it is sorted and I'm hoping that those certain members learn from their mistakes and realise that they don't need to post in threads like that one, and just report them.
I'm sorry you had to come back and do some work Cipher, you don't deserve that. Here's hoping that it won't happen again.
Hey Esp [may I call you Esp still..?], I think that wouldnt be a bad idea, but also think about one thing; that might drive new and potentially great members away. We want to avoid that. Of course, most of the betters ones may suffer through it.
Maybe, if possible, after registration, the first page the pops up isthe rules? ^^;;; OR is it already liek that? *shrug* I dotn register daily, obviously
No, it doesn't, I remember. And yes, you can call me Esp or Espeon.
I didn't understand what you meant by the 'moderatorization' of an Asian member can drive away potentially good members.
I was referring to the QUIZ thing you mentioned, not an Asian member. :P
I support the 'moderisation' of an Eastern member :)
