A few weeks ago I announced I would be stepping down from my moderation duties here at Pokémon Acanthite in order to workload. The time since my "retirement" has been somewhat strange, as you can probably imagine. It's like watching other people do your job - but, damn, they're doing it well.

There is a point to this. I can't be "in and out" of something because there'll always be something willing me on to come back. I like you lot, but I also like not being attached to this banstick-wielding persona. This made the upcoming decision even harder, but it's one I've made anyway.

To be honest, I don't think you'll be that surprised. I get the feeling a lot of you expected it when I made my "retirement" post a few weeks ago. Regardless, it has to be said - I am officially retiring from my admin duties at Pokémon Acanthite, and I will be formally leaving the project's message board on September 15.

Whereas you won't actually see me around any more after that date, I will still be a part of the project in a few places. Over the next few months we're going to continue work on the new website and the revived Trading Card Game, which has just seen a very exciting new development, so keep your eyes peeled for that. I will also move to a new Support role on the message board in the event that it ever needs upgrading, but like I say, I won't actually be visiting.

Anyways, yeah. I really hate being the point of an announcement, but I didn't want you lot thinking "where'd he go, the crafty bugger?" in a few weeks' time, so... I think the only other things I can say are that the new website will be around sometime at the start of next year - since it's not coming along soon I'd like to give it a bit of an overhaul again - and I think the TCG probably will be too. Like I say we've just decided on some very exciting developments for Acanthite's TCG series.

Thanks guys - it's been fun. :)

Anyways, see ya, Ciph! Nice knowing you. I'm extremely sad to see such an important figure to the site go. Hope you can make it back someday to play the finished release of Pokémon Acanthite!

To be honest, I don't really have much to say here....since it's not really good-bye, you're not truly leaving and you're still doing some behind-the-scenes stuff, so....uh, thanks for a job well done?
Here's one newb that'll miss you. Hate to see you go (though I hardly knew you). Have fun Ciphering around without all of us on this MB.
You'll be missed a lot (here). Bye Cipher.
