A thread for this? No? Well, I guess I'll start....
What game are you going to get? Simple as that. If you read the title then probably wouldn't need to read the post....
Anyway, I'm getting HeartGold.
Reasons? Fine.
Just because of Ho-oh, and I like the exclusive Pokemon on it better than SoulSilver. And 'cause of Kyogre, too. I wanted to see what's it like to play as it because I already played as Groudon in Ruby. Weedle is only in the Bug Catching Contest in HeartGold... but I'll survive that.... And I just discovered that I have trend of games with "warm" colors, such as Red, Gold, Ruby, Pearl, and PMD: Red Rescue.
I am going for HeartGold too. I hate Lugia and when looking at the exclusive Pokemon list (the Gold and Silver one, that is :P), there's Mantine, Mankey, Gligar and Teddiursa.
HeartGold. I had gold back when, So Id like to keep it going that way.
I'm going with Soul Silver because I had Gold back in the day, and I wanted to try out the other game. Plus Skarmory is awesome.
SoulSilver. totally. Just cause it's awesome, and Lugia is just epic pwn. And Groudon..... Groudon's the one in SoulSilver right?
Probably both as I seriously want to tackle hug Nintendo to the ground for remaking the bestest Pokemon games in my opinion. Also I can't even chose. Heck. My sister has a DS of her own. Meaning...WOOTZORZ! RAYQUAZA! :D
But the first one I'll play is probably HeartGold. Gotta love Ho-oh. :P
Isn't this obvious? HEART GOLD BABY! I love ho-oh and even the name sounds cool. Can't wait to get Eevee in Goldenrod :D

I'm getting both, but since I'll likely have to actually buy one of them with my own money, I'll likely have to wait to get the second game until I've umped 5 or 6 spring Little League baseball games, I'll get HG when it comes out, and then buy SS probably around the beginning of May. Getting HG first purely because I have Gold already (albeit it can't save and so inevitably have been unable to complete it up through Red, but still), so I've got a better feel for the wild pokemon and how the game runs and such....then once I've got a better feel for how the game adapted to the 4th Gen, SS should be a lot easier once I get it (plus, if my sister has gotten a DS by then, I'll be able to trade over eggs from HG and Platinum so that I can use pokemon that aren't obtainable until late-game), and then when I want to play through again on either version I can just trade all my pokemon to the other version and then just restart....convenience is convenient. And fun.
I already have a ho-oh, I want a lugia so souls silver FTW! Also I had gold as a little one when I played gameboy color..
