Hi all,

We're back - just about. Basically the databases decided to break up with us so everything was lost for a little while. Everything's back to normal now, but please do note that we expect the forum to be VERY slow for a while as the website tries to retrieve all the information from the database. And it's a big database.

Anything that doesn't seem right, as usual, let me know.

And again. Sorry. Again, I have no control over the databases, so it's just a waiting game when they go down. Everything's back now.
What's wrong with it anyway? Do they just "magically" corrupt this forum? Is there anyway you can fix it? (It's not like it's important or anything, but getting our hours back on the forum wouldn't hurt.)
As I've said, there's nothing I can do about it. There are some issues with the server at the moment and they are likely causing the databases to crash. It will hopefully be fixed at some point but as I've said I have no control over the domain, server, databases etc.
I think they are crashing randomly. When I was just about to post a refereeing reply to the ASB threads, the forum crashed, and I was like, "I DID ALL THAT TYPING FOR NOTHING?!" But then it went back to normal and luckily, the post was in my "history".
That won't have been a database problem. When the database goes down, it'll be down for hours on end. It'll have been a small snag, either on the server or on your internet connection.
Really? Because a "MyBB Code Error" message thingy popped up. It was the same screen as the difficulty last time.
That could have just been a forum upgrade. There have been a few recently and they cause the forum to go down until they get properly installed.

If it's an error 40: http://wiki.mybboard.net/index.php/Help:...yBB_Errors It could be either one of those.
I didn't get a chance to post here Thursday and I wasn't here yesterday, but I was trying to add about 12 new characters to my signature and it gave me a notice saying I needed to remove 139 characters to update it. Is this an error because of the difficulties or was the Signature Length changed?
