Our school's rock night is donating all of the proceeds towards Haiti. We've also started charging admission into the basketball games (as we get overpopulated seats almost every game) and a large proportion of the money raised is going to the same charity as the one benefitting from rock night :).
Students from various clubs at my school are going around in second period collecting money, and whatever the students donate, the teachers will match.
Hmm, never thought of doing a rock concert, maybe our band can play, were well known to the school and we get alot of money from our many gig's, maybe we should make a concert for haiti. back to the point, my class raised about 2,500 from students by seling rainbow bead bracelets, Which is all the rage in our school right know (no thanks to Cristian of riverside co. usa.) were also collecting clothing and shoes for the haishans. hopefully this nightmare would end soon for them.
