Out of all of the countries... an earthquake had to hit Haiti. The first in 200 years...
They were starting to re-gain their identity in the world, when it all comes crashing down. They've had a tough past, with all of the political issues, criminals, hurricanes, and now this. They were previously on the road to recovery when this terrible incident hit. It was scaled at a huge 7.0!
I want to do something about this...
Our school is donating money, is anyone else doing anything to help them out?
I just seriously can't really believe this... It just HAD to hit them.. one of the poorest countries in the world, and they get hit with a massive earthquake...it's just...
As for what we're doing... I know that my family is going to donate money, but other than that...
My school has set up a whole thing for it. We get donations to shave our heads. Poor people, may Buddha stay in there hearts.
Poor Haiti, i saw in the news today a video of Haiti after the earth quake. me and my three sisters are making a fund raiser at school for Haiti and most kids at school helped. I hope that big time producers don't find an opportunity to make another 2012 movie because of Haiti's quake.
i hope everything gets better for them, Haiti's a one of a kind country, it can't be in ruins for a long time.
Out of respect for our Governor General, Michaëlle Jean, my ENGG 317 class raised $2000 dollars (150 people). Hopefully it gets there.
Our school raised about $2000 too... I go to an elementary school, so it's not that much, but I hope it helps :)
after that horrible disaster, i can see the world's population coming together and reaching out to Haiti, this just shows how much we care about everybody. and how much we love each other, as a whole world. this could be pretty close to world unity if you think about it.
Human nature is showing it's kind side.
My school is probably gonna raise 2000$ or more so we can get a free Jeans day. (Dang UNIFORMS.)
My School Collected Food/Sleeping Bags/School Supplies they also Collected money in the Cafeteria and my Mom Donated Ten Dollars on her Cell Phone, We Actually have someone from Haiti who is collecting the supplies for us.
