The Introduction - The Chosen Ones

The year is 3175, although time is rarely relevant anymore due to the popularity of time travel and inter-dimensional warping. The planet of Mars has recently been selected as the site of a massive stadium-hub, although the locals have, up to this point, had no idea what the arena will be used for. More recently, the arena has been completed, and sent out scouts to various dimensions, planets, and time periods seeking out the best of the best; fighters to compete in what has been advertised as the most Epic Tournament ever.

Essentially, this is like the MUGEN of Role-Playing. Original characters are very much encouraged, and I'd also prefer if people take "historical" characters as well as aliens, since there should be some balance to the game. If you want, you can take characters from Anime, Manga, Games, etc... But I'd much prefer original.

Of course, tiers can be added to balance out futuristic versus Medieval characters, but please at least make an attempt to balance out your characters. Robots and aliens should at least give the poor folk of Caveman ages a chance. [Think Doctor Who, with Companions/enemies of the Doctor spanning all Time Periods, but still all being mostly balanced. Even a Godlike power like the Doctor is given a rough time by simple aliens and early [time] folk.]

The Universe - What Things Are Like Now

As humanity evolved, humans spread out throughout planets, and subsequently, galaxies and time itself. A race known only as the Reapers have been recently scouting out combatants of various origins throughout time and space, trying to collect people that will be bet upon and will draw a crowd. Since intergalactic war is very common, Mars has only been chosen as a hub for these games due to the origins of its name [Mars - Roman God of War]. The battles themselves are selected by the audience, and can be taken from various locales throughout time and space; just like the fighters.

The Tournament - Code of Conduct, Registration, Combat

Battles are handled in other topics, similarly to the Anime Style Battling League. They will appropriately be labelled "Ultimate Tournament: [Away Player] vs [Home Player]". Obviously, the battles will be divided into double battles (should we get enough activity) or single battles. Your partner will be randomly selected by me when I create the brackets.

The rules are pretty straightforward; basically, no God-modding, which means you can't randomly pull out a massive chain gun at various points in the battle, and you can't pull a Matrix and dodge every attack without taking a scratch. Characters will have to be approved by me, and should problems arise, I'll issue practice battles via PM. Note that this will only happen if there are problems. Also, please attempt to use good grammar, and not 1337 speak. Paragraphs would also be preferred so that the audience can grasp the concept.

The spectators can post inside every topic should they feel like it, but audience members are unable to enter the battles themselves. Obviously, I'll judge each battle to make sure that players are being fair. If you won by being a cheap ass, I'll basically eliminate you from the tournament. I'll give out YELLOW CARDS and RED CARDS based on how severe the rule breaking is.

If I may suggest it, maybe you should make tiers. I mean, bringing in a Master Chief style character or any other futuristic replacement (Especially a mobile suit) will crush a medivial fantasy character like Gourry Gabriev (Fine, Inuyasha if you don't watch much). Heck, just having a gun will make your more awesome than most fantasy characters.

I'll consider joining if you can clarify which ones can be used.

Certainly tiers can - and will - be used if necessary. Of course, if necessary, I suppose we could balance things out with an armoury in the arena itself... Certainly, if necessary, we can keep things in the same time period, if many others are of the same mindset. :)

Gaarafan, any species of your own creation can be used, but you must provide an adequate description of the race/species.

Universe: The planet Dabusho in the Kameo System
Home Arena: The home arena is a dense jungle. There are loads of strange plants, trees and animals. Dabusho is a dangerous planet. It´s eat or be eaten. The hazards are many. There are globs of hanging, flesh eating ooze, hawk like lizards and giant twig insects which seem to be trees (latter are harmless). As if that isn´t enough, there are big snakes with four eyes, small raptors, poisonous spiders, sentient beetles with sword and shield, land-crocodiles that burrow into the earth with a mushroom on the head to lure prey and plated spider-lizards(the plates have spikes). If you think that´s bad enough, wait for what comes now… 50% of the plants are alive! Tree´s might choke you, the mushroom that aren´t really land crocodiles let out clouds of poison when you walk by and the eat you alive and daisies bite you. (Daisies don´t exist here of course, but you know what I mean.) And last, but certainly not least, at night the 7 moons of the neighbor planet hitobon let the animals and insects grow 3x their size.
Age: 493
Appearance: Julius belongs to the species of monkey like beings called Falen-ba. Their body is as flexible as an octopus´ body and they use their extra long arms to climb trees. They can turn all parts of their body 360°. The body is humanoid, when not stretched or turned. Not counting the green skin, the bigger eyes and the twisting ears, to see and hear everything.
History: On Dabusho, every member of the Falen-ba has to complete a great feat, or at least try to and survive, before he can become an adult (typically at the age of 500). He has decided to take part in the Tournament.
Abilities: He can climb well. Thanks to his twisting ears and bigger eyes he can hear and see better than a Human.
Strengths: Julius is used to all environments. Thanks to his home planet, he has experience in every terrain. (He´s still best in the jungle though.) He´s very tough. (He has to be, if he wants to survive on his planet.)
Weaknesses: This species doesn´t like water. He doesn´t possess higher technology. Only bow, spear and the likes. He also isn´t good at fighting on flat/ level terrain.

To the area: Maybe you could consider putting the area on twice. Day & night could be seperate.

Name: Playg
Universe: My Fakemon imagination, so technically the Pokemon Universe on PokeEarth
Home Arena: The Hall of Inferno-Playg World. Basically, a place with fire surrounding it, the only land being islands of igneous rock surrounded by a highly potent bacteria that is fatal to the majority of living organisms.
Age: Since humans were created on PokeEarth, it was here
Appearance: Technically, Playg can alter his appearance, since he is made up entirely of a shadow-bacteria. However, he normally takes the form of a wolfish-rat being with a canine like face with ratlike features, no nose, two white glowing spots for eyes, and varying sized fangs with the occasional dripping area that connects the jaw where it shouldn't. It's body is wolflike, the front feet being like puddles of ooze withpawlike features, the back feet being simply puddles of ooze. The tail is long and thin, like a rat's. Parts of it's body are constantly oozing and dripping off, but quickly coming straight back to the body. It is black in color, very dark purple where higlighted (basically, look at my avatar for reference).
History: When Arceus created humans and pokemon, and Adam and Eve ate the Apple and what not, Arceus put one of his angel-pokemon, Ahmagor, in charge of punishment. He created three pokemon to bring hardship to the humans; Playg was created as the bringer of Disease.
Abilities: He has massive regenerative qualities, because when a part is lost and cannot return to the body, the bacteria that make it up multiply. His front paws can grow long, thin claws to slash through enemies and infect them with his bacteria. He can also fit through the smallest of cracks because of his having no bones and being made of single cell organisms completely.
Strengths: Being a pokemon, he is good at fighting pokemon/organisms with Plant, Light, Psychic, and Ghost Attributes. In Playg World, he is not affected by the bacteria surrounding the islands, so he can dive in and be in perfect camoflage. Because of his glowing white eyes, his night vision is as good as day vision.
Weaknesses: Being a pokemon, he is weak to pokemon/organisms with Bug, Earth, and Light Attributes. Forms of medicine and herbs are fatal to him. Any holy figure close to Arceus or whatever form of God in their world can banish him to Playg World unless that's where the battle takes place.

Nobody has picked an Anime character yet. I'll break that then. Just for fun.

Universe: Slayers (Doesn't have its ow name)
Home Arena: The ruins of the capital city of Siraag. In the middle is a massive stump from what used to be a giant tree.
Age: 15-16

Strengths: Very intelligent, excellent spellcasting abilities.
Weaknesses: Hates slugs and her sister, spitfire temper, spells take time to cast.

Maybe you should consider making a few NPCs. Otherwise we might never get to playing...

Name: Ninja Monkey
Universe: TimeSplitters
Home Arena: Mexican Mission (Has lots of buildings for cover. main building has an underground tunnel network.
Age: Unknown
Appearance: A chimp in a ninja suit with a small ninja sword.
History: Trained in the deadly art of kick-ass. (it's his TSFP character description.) Uses his sword.
Abilities: Very small and fast.
Strengths: Small; characters have to aim down to hit him. Fast; can land many hits on an opponent in a short time. Proficient in blades; can adapt to and small blade.
Weaknesses: Fire; burn him and he's toast. Shotguns; Since these spray, one or two shells are more than likely to hit him. Low damage threshhold; He can't be hit that much or bye-bye monkey. Low damage dealt; high hit ratio =/= high damage.

Universe: TimeSplitters
Home Arena: Planet X (very rocky orange planet, TimeSplitter home base is located here.).
Age: Created in 2401, so over 1000 years old; came forward in time.
Appearance: Medium-sized grey war-robot.
History: The fourth model of the R series of war robots.
Abilities: immune to bullets.
Strengths: immune to bullets; shotguns and pistols do no damage. Flame-proof; flamethrowers do no damage.
Weaknesses: Weak to lasers; these mess with his internal systems. Weak to explosives; Need i explain this? Weak to electicity-based weapons; being a robot, this is obvious.

Good idea making a second char. I´ll make one too, when I have a minuite.
