Yeah I'm torn between three types of teams, Rain, Sandstorm, and just mixed. Since the VGC are 4v4 doubles all teams have some strong points. Plz help me pick one and feel free to give any suggestions:D

Mixed. The Rhyperior would make a very good teammate for a flying type. And is that a shiny Staraptor or is it just the lighting?

I was leaning towards mixed for that reason/ its just the lighting

For your information, the mixed team is completely destroyed by my little brother's Scarf Kyogre.

Out of those, the Rain team will do the best, although it's a little unoriginal.
