Ash is based off the character Red, who had one cameo in GSC and HGSS and was the main character in RBGY and FRLG. They should have kept that and had a new main character for the Johto arc (e.g. Ethan), for the Hoenn arc (Brendan) and for the Sinnoh arc (Lucas).

That would have kept the series fresh.

Also, Team Rocket should have been removed as well. Unnecessary and stupid.

Back to the games, the 3D tech has been pushed to new limits here, and it's fine. The overworld design is fantastic and clearly you never went to Celadon or Saffron City, because they have skyscrapers there. :ninja:
I wish Game Freak good luck at respriting over 600 pokemon to make them fit the new battling system. Also, I wish them the best of luck to sprite all the attacks for the new battle system.
And maybe we even have the new light type included.....

1) Change them? Nintendo will see that one person doesn't like them and change them, fiine...
2) Pokémon needs to evolve, and this whole new aspect of realism is a step in the right direction.

VIVA LA SKYSCRAPERS.

Psychic really kind of fills that as an antithesis to Dark Type, but I suppose it might happen.
VIVA LA SKYSCRAPERS xD

I really excited about this games now (Even more!). I hoping it does take place in the past, I really do (That kind-of old computer in the Center, the one that PokéBeach pointed out, seems something from the past... maybe :P)
The battle system looks spectacular and finally, a ponytailed-female player! xD
I'm really not sure what everyone is getting excited over :/

The only new things I see is the battle screen has seemed to change, and the view's been pulled down a bit at some parts it seems. Just closer to a more third person perspective, that's all. Makes the game look uglier and more jagged in my opinion. Aside from that, everything looks the same.

The only thing that seems to interest me a bit is that it takes place in the past, but I'm not sure what that'll really give to me, aside from maybe seeing Red in another way.

Edit: Alright well according to PokeBeach, it looks like the characters speak through speech bubbles now, and you'll be able to ride a new vehicle. Really, still too early to judge, but really nothing that great.

Clearly, these skyscrapers are more higher, and is dull looking. Imagine walking through those. And their more likely other people who don't like it, seeing as statistics show that if one person favor over something than their be more than likely another portion of people don't. The skyscrapers in R/G are more better cause the had more color and more livelier.

And it would have been Pokemon Chronicles if they kept on changing the main characters.

And no it doesn't. Honestly wants to make me empty everything I've had. Horrible. I guess they had to cut back on something to make something else look better. But couldn't they have cut down on something less important.

And Pokemon moving to realism is a bad idea. Pokemon was made in the intention to reaching to the younger audience. That is why you will never hear something vulgar of stupid.

The only thing I love about this is the new battle system. More improve sprites, and a full view of the whole Pokemon that you are using.(probably gonna see the full backsprite of the trainer too.) I really hope they add more frames, or good looks are the only thing that is going to keep the system going.
But somehow, that game appears more adult to me. Alone "Black" and "White" have such a serious flavour and the world looks kinda grey and......realistic, yeah. xD
Also, the design with the two hands doesn't look like a design for a game which is directed at 6-year-olds.

Wait, is that sarcasm, this is the internet so it can't be interpreted too well.

The design is still very simplistic and childish, it's just it has more depth and perspective.

It's not as if you're giving the main character a weapon to kill people, just a creature, to beat up other people's creatures... hang on, why is this directed at kids anyway?

On the contrary... I think that the games are directed towards the old-time pokemon fans from the beginning. I play them in front of my friends and they tell me the same thing regarding the childish games, but I do it because I am a long-time fan of pokemon since the beginning.

On topic: I think the buildings look great, and shame on whoever thinks otherwise <_<
