Hey I've been playing pokemon since Gold/Silver came out but I still can't find the answer i'm looking for.
How much does one stage change a stat by?
Lets say a Mightyena with 100 attack used howl (I'm pretty sure it's one stage)
What would his attack be afterwards?
And is it straight additive or diminishing?
Here's the entire lists of boosts:

- +6 = 4x multiplier
- +5 = 3.5x multiplier
- +4 = 3x multiplier
- +3 = 2.5x multiplier
- +2 = 2x multiplier
- +1 = 1.5x multiplier
- +0 = 1x multiplier
- -1 = 0.6667x multiplier
- -2 = 0.5x multiplier
- -3 = 0.4x multiplier
- -4 = 0.3333x multiplier
- -5 = 0.2857x multiplier
- -6 = 0.25x multiplier

So, in case of a Howl, its Attack multiplies by 1.5.
Wait, isn't it multiplied with 1.5?
So, 150 instead of 100?

Yeah, that's actually what I meant. But I failed at typing xD
Wrong place.

And does it stay till a stat diminishing move is used / stats are reset / end of battle, or does it wear off in time, or once it switches?
Yeah, because sometimes, after using double teams some times, I have the feeling the effect slowly disappears and the enemy starts hitting again.
That happens to my Glalie a lot, and I'm wondering why. Double Team seems to die out after a couple of turns, when Glalie gets fried by a Fire Blast.
The effects stay until the Pokémon switches out, the end of the battle, Haze is used, or the Pokémon's stat is decreased again (e.g. Charm would cancel out Swords Dance).

Double Team is luck-based; even though the effect stays, occasionally luck will make it seem like it's wearing off.
