In my opinion, the Gen III gyms are the hardest yet.

Yeah, in fact, this Sableye-thing with Brawly is win. xD He is totally desperate and can't hit it while it impishly grins at him. Awesome.

I don't know why, but I found them harder than the other Gens. In Gen III, I lost against a gym for the first time. =/
And those twins were a pain without the appropriate pokemons to counter.

Er, problem with that is Makuhita's Foresight, in which case Fighting is SE against Sableye.

I don't think so, this thread is really just to discuss if you've had problems with Gym Leaders.

And I also found the RSE gyms a bit hard. I had nothing to beat Roxanne's gym with, so I had to go back a find a Shroomish. But I never lost to a Gym until Crasher Wake. (Don't like Electric types, so the Gyarados took my whole team down...)

Personally, I've never lost to a gym, but I've come 1HP close to that.

My Meganium -JUST- managed to destroy Claire's Kingdra during a recharge urn. That too on 1HP. The rest of my team was demolished.

And on a side note, off-topic, but Studious, I've done your banner... Though it's not half as impressive as Aki's. =/

I actually had this 1HP-situation when fighting Lance in HG.

My Walrein against his Charizard. One Surf would've been enough to kill it off, but it was faster than me and its Air Slash would've killed me. I didn't have any restoring items left.
What was an Air Slash's accuracy?

I think it's, um, 95?

Actually, the 1HP situation occurred quite a few times for me. Once is versus Clair, two of those versus Juan and Winona and once versus Candice.

Whitney was by far the hardest gym leader in SS. I faced her four times and nearly threw my game at a wall. I had Croconaw, Arbok, Nidorino, and a Furret all over Lvl 22, and ALL MALE! She was hard for me.
And then with Lance, It was luck all the way. I PP Up'd Feraligatr's Ice Fang and barely made it through, but i did it on the first try so it was good. Well, that is, fought Lance the first time. I lost to Karen twice DX
So I faced the Elite Four 3 times in all.

I used to trade a lot when I had Crystal. Witha bunch of my level 50s and my trusty level 100 I obliterated most of them first try. Claire was annoying though, the more annoying part was the unavoidable gym trainers.

But yeah, Whitney was annoying too.

That's why I make sure I have lots of Poke before I go to the E4, so I can buy massive amounts of Hyper and Max Potions.
