all colors together = white meaning light and
no colors = black meaning dark?
No, actually, it isn't. In light and spectrum talking, when you see someone wiht a Black shirt, you're seeing the shirt absorbing all colors at once, producing one dark Black.
When you see someone with a white shirt however, you are seeing the shirt repelling all colors away, producing an absence of color.
Um, ATD, I think you have it reversed. Black is the absence of color, white is the combination of colors. That's why you see a spectrum when you shine a white light through a glass prism.
If I have it reversed, then it sure is a good thing they fired my Science teacher!
But my other reasoning behind it is that when you blend colors, you tend to end up with black if you go at it long enough. Similarly, adding more to black tends to make it stay black, but adding more to White tends to make a color.
Anyway, all that aside, I made my major point, regardless if one of the supporting details turned out to be a little off. I had a 50/50 chance of getting it right.
You dont really have it backwards, just what YOU are referring to is different from everyone else. You said black is all colors. Black absorbs all colors so it, sort of, is all colors, but reflects none so you could say its no color. White absorbs no colors, but reflects all. Its just depending on how you refer to it, really.
Just say "white" and "black" for Pete's sake!
I think maybe the reason Nintendo didn't make (what I call) the Cosmic-type is because it has a limited use. I also think that Nintendo was aiming for a more animal, down-to-earth (ha!) pool of Pokémon. There are those few Pokémon stated above, but they really can just all be fit somewhere else.
The "Cosmic" Type really is just the psychic type. Connection to the cosmos, one with the universe and what not?
Anyway, I think this thread should get back on track. I still stand by my opinion though.
