Firstly I'd like to say I am aware this is a VERY tight rope I am walking on so I think people should know I'm not writing this with the intention of offending anyone, I would just like to share my issues with England at the moment.

It seems these days that we have a lot of people from different countries in the country. This in itself isn't that big of a deal and in some cases has helped us grow (a lot of our music and food, for example, have been bought over from other countries - I'm listening to some Bob Marley as I type) and generally helps out the country. In the past it has also been perfectly fine as people have adapted to English lifestyles and respected English people - my grandfather is actually of Polish origin and had to move here due to issues during the war. You know what? He learnt the language, and brought his children up to speak English and have a completely English lifestyle.

The problem is that quite often these days this simply doesn't happen. Those who keep up with what's been happening will have heard of issues during the football will have been well aware of the controversy involving the St. George's flag being displayed in certain areas as it may offend foreigners. To me, the worst example of this was a case where a Polish bus driver attempted to throw a 3-year-old child off of a bus simply because he was wearing an England shirt, and then proceeded to have a go at the mother for dressing her family in "such offensive clothing". Sorry mate, but it's our country and our flag so we can show it wherever the hell we want - if you don't like it, go home.

Another thing that is bugging me is the involvement of religion in this 'equality' argument. Every week we see a new article from Christians moaning about children being born out of wedlock. Well, I'm sure I may have said my views on marriage before but to be honest I find it a pointless excuse for a party and a piece of paper is hardly going to stop breakups. These people have no right whatsoever to tell people how to manage their family, and are just ignorant of the fact we're not all stuck up.

It's not just Christians though. I find Islam as a religion to have way too many issues. One example is that, after many years of ethnic minorities fighting for equality, a lot of Muslims now seem to want to decide which parts of 'equality' apply to them. One case of this is the recent issue of the French government wanting to ban the burkha - which I think is a perfectly good idea that I want implemented here, as people going around with their whole face covered will, and does, lead to problems. Yet there has been a big uproar with Muslims as it apparently attacks their human rights. Yet if I were to walk into a shop or a bank in a balaclava I'm sure there'd be a fuss.

There have been many other cases of this with Islam lately - including a Muslim bus driver not allowing a blind person onto a bus as their guide dog is 'impure' or whatever and went against his religion. If I had witnessed this I would have personally stabbed both of his eyes out and told him I didn't want him to have his own guide dog. If you want somewhere with no dogs, go to a Muslim country - your demands simply aren't welcome here. I could bet any money if English people were to go to a Muslim country and make demands like this we'd probably be punished beyond belief.

So, in short, if you are in our country, you accept OUR lifestyle, you respect OUR people and you don't cause problems for our people.

Sorry if this is a bit over the top but it's been bugging me a lot lately and I wanted to get it out of my system.
You're English, amirite? So am I. I just live in the country where nothing exciting ever happens -- Canada. I know you're on a tight rope, and let me stop you from falling -- Islam has its own set of beliefs and the country as a whole should also respect said beliefs. It's like you're trying to shove the "your religion is blasphemous and not welcome here" thing down their throats. People live where they do for a reason.
I don't hate Islam and I understand people have their own beliefs - but it shouldn't interfere with lifestyle in a country that isn't traditionally a Muslim country.
