The British Prime Minister, aware of the poor financial state of his country, decided to fly on a plain old British Airways flight on his way to meet with President Obama, saving £200k in the process.

If only we had a guy like him in charge.
Hahahah! Oh, the hilarity!

Quote:It is Mr Cameron's latest attempt to lead from the front on sweeping spending cuts across government to pay off Britain's crippling £155 billion deficit.

As opposed to the US's 13 trillion deficit, or to put it more fairly...

US - 13,244 billion
UK - 155 billion
^You do realize these are different currencies right? xD
LOL British pound and US dollar are totally different. Still, Obama is an idiot and I would ride a horse to meet him. Cheers to Prime Minister.
ummmm...............r all of u guys idits? england and america have the saem kinda mony lololol u guys suk at being smatr............!!!11

Holy crap, I suck at not sucking. I feel like a complete monist. I am so sorry. I looked up the Britons' national debt, and it was different, so I was confused.

£FAOL (Get it? It's like "gaol.")
David Cameron/British Conservatism is absolutely legendary. Now we've got that goon (Gordy) out of Number 10, I see good times ahead :)
Yeah, that's why we (didn't) vote this government in, and from what we heard continuously back in Labour power days we're better off without Brown generally.
155,000,000,000.00 GBP = 241,972,372,700.46 USD

Looks like the US still has a higher deficit.
Cameron's got one thing Brown never had - the ability to look good in the media and the Murdochracy behind him to help. Yes, I see good times ahead in cutting the deficit :D The public sector and families get screwed over by the budget, VAT goes up but cider drinkers don't have to pay anything extra ;) Huzzah! Good to see our priorities are right in this country.

But at least Cameron can pull a good publicity stunt and save a bit of taxpayer cash in the process. Well done, that man.
tbh, none of the cuts or the VAT rise would have happened if Labour didn't screw us over with their reckless and completely thoughtless spending, and mindless expansion of the public sector which was always going to be bad anyway.
