Acanthite is much closer to faking than it seems.

Some of you may remember the ill-fated EX: Acanthite project, one of the most ambitious projects to ever hit the faking community which at the time was considered the biggest thing in faking history - 100 cards, featuring some of Acanthite's then-legendary Pokemon. Although many of them have been scrapped (poor, poor Skume), the set still introduced a tie between the then-active faking community and this game.

In the past, both this game and the faking community were teeming with life, but nowadays both have been dead for a long, long time.

With the new Acanthite TCG, we hope to revive them both.

~~~
The plans for this TCG are simple-- every week, a small group of cards will be released to the public. These releases, over the course of the year, will form the Acanthite TCG Base Set-- ACANTHITE: RETURN TO NEW GROUND.
To get you all psyched for the epic undertaking that will be the Base Set, we're releasing a twelve-card promo set, expected to be released soon.
Now, although we aren't releasing the promo set just yet, you can feast your eyes on this amazing prerelease card.
Now, some of you may be asking-- "How can I, the lowly forumer, help the staff out with this epic undertaking?" Now, although we do have plenty of staff available to help us out, there is one category we need assistance in-- card art.
Kam 2.0 is the TCG's Art Supervisor, and he needs help providing the series with high-quality art of all sorts of styles. If you're interested in becoming an art contributor for the Acanthite TCG project, please contact him.
We hope this will be an exciting project for you all and we fully appreciate any input you can provide as this will make this the very best TCG series around, like no TCG series ever was.
I don't think we could do pixel art but if you speak to Kam he might be able to find something for you to do :D
Good luck, guys, and a question, I don't suppose art like that Hoppip of mine would make the cut? :p
It might be. Link?
I'll be happy to have a go at some art, there are a few examples on my DA ,which I'll link to in an edit when I can be arsed.
I need to get back into a creative mood before I go back to college, so I'll give some art a try.
Wait, are you saying we can collect these cards?
/wasn't around when card-faking was the big thing
...kind of
Not exactly, though
IIRC (dunno, the extent of my contribution to the TCG was saying that Dragon blanks were a stupid idea) we'll be using a point system to "buy" cards, which you can then use to play the TCG in Redshark. Don't quote me, mind; I don't keep up with this.
Except for the Redshark bit. But hey, now you've officially announced it in public, Fang/siteguys will have to get that plugin installed ASAP :P
Wait, really?
Assuming the program's designers were half-awake, the data for the cards should be server-side- thus, modifiable.
also, that was secret? whoops.
Best. Reveal. EVAR.
We have no contact with RedShark's creators and anything to do with the program would probably have to go through WPM (who we have FANTASTIC history with when it comes to faking...) so it's a no-go zone right now.
