As you may very well not know, I love making fakemon. I am posting these very rough concepts in a link due to size, and I'll see where we go from there.

Rough Fakes

as these were drawn with an extremely blunt pencil and refined with a horrible eraser, these aren't as clean as I'd prefer, and lines were added where the scanner made them disappear (or where I felt they were needed, in the case of Banthum's Right eye and "eyebrow"). And the typed words aren't to make you feel stupid, their to be sure that you don't think they're "Buntham" or "Dorindar," as my writing can be hard to read at times.

Dancinder and Ifernol are Fire Idols that have flaming feet and dance. It all started with Dancinder, in Chicago. I was at a water park with my cousin, her friend, my aunt, my mom, and my sister. My aunt had booked a cabana there, where we set our stuff down and settled in. Outside the cabana was a Wave pool, so once we were ready, we all left our flip-flops in the tent-cabana and went in. However, the wave pool is closed every hour for around 25 minutes for safety reasons, and we had to get out soon after we got in. I went off with my mom and aunt to go on rides. However, as we no longer had our shoes, we had to walk on the hot pavement. My mind wandered off, thinking of the burning pain. I thought of walking on hot coals, and then of my feet being on fire. That thought, mixed with LoZ Ocarina of Time's Fire dancers, and the memory of a comic my other cousin made featureing Yu-Gi-Oh!'s Flame Dancer card combined into a small, cycloptic idol with a flame coming out of his head and feat. Then I made him evolve, and Ifernol came to be.

Banthum is merely based on the quote "Walk softly, and carry a big stick," by Theodore Roosevelt. I thought of that, and immediately started thinking" what could walk softly and fight with a stick?" The big stick transitioned into a Staff, and the soft walker became a stealthy Jaguar panther.

Dancinder is a portmanteau of Dance and Cinder (pronounced "Dan-sin-durr"), while Ifernol is a portmanteau of Idol and Inferno, and is meant to make you thinkg "Infernal" (pronounced "Eye-furr-nawl"). Banthum comes from a portmanteau of bō, panther, and aurum (pronounced "Ban-thumb"), latin for gold. Aurum is in there because of the proverb "silence is golden."

Thanks for posting!
I don't need absolute criticism, just your thought or feelings, so you're fine. :)
Yeah, I understand that it's hard to see them, I have the same problem just looking at the paper I drew them on. Don't worry, though, I plan on making cleaner verisons later.
I wouldn't say that, I think your drawings are awesome!
And thanks! My favorite of the three is actually Dancinder.

I know how much it sucks to have posts go unread. Dude, you have evident talent, don't let it go to waste. Keep on making these Fakemon if its what you love to do, regardless of what others think. In my opinion, these are some really good concepts and I am genuinely excited to see your finished products. Keep on rolling man!
Entrix, your post has made my day! Thank you for your compliments, and I am going to start scanning up my other concepts now, as well as work on the finished versions of these guys and newer concepts. The concepts I have to show after these are much cleaner, so visibility shouldn't be a problem.

Holy crap those are cool, but a LITTLE hard to see.

5 / 5 cookies.
THank you! *eats cookies*

And yes, I know, they are hard to see. Worry not, though, i will make better versions. All following concepts will have darker lines and less sketchy appearances.

GAH! I GET IT ALREADY! [/end anger]

Phew....

Anyway, thanks Eifi! I get what yo mean by the eyes, to be honest I sometimes picture them in the WindWaker style as Ocarina's Flame Dancers, with Toon Link holding up his shield as one tries to deliver a graceful, flaming kick...

Anyway, I can respect you not liking the fighting type. The only reason it is fighting is because I thought it made sense for a staff fighter to be part fighting. If you want to get REALLY LoZ, the orginal plan was a Dark/Grass panther with a Flytrap on its back that could be severed and stiffened to use as a staff, only to grow back instantly.

Anyway, thanks for the comments, people, and I will soon be posting my next, not so hard to see concepts. Sorry Eifi, but one's part fighting type.
In case you didn't read the description, it was partly based on Flame Dancer.

Anyway,
Babirooki and Babirokka

Edit: Info.

Babirooki and Babirokka were based on Babirussas, Indonesian Pigs with four tusks, two of which grow through the snout. These snout-tusks curve toward the snout-some even grow back through to the mouth-and protect the babirussa's eyes while rooting around the undergrowth for food as well as when fighting, and Indonesian legends state that they use their snout-tusks to hang from trees at night while they sleep. When two males fight, they generally try to slash at eachother with their sharp normal tusks, but in some cases, will stand on their hind legs and "Punch" at their oppoents with their hooves. Babirooki(Bay-bee-rook{as in the chess piece}-key) comes from the words Babirussa and Rookie, as it is based on a juvenile Babirussa who is just growing its tusks, has red hooves, and it has a fern-y tail and a leafy mohawk. Babirokka(Bay-bee-rock-kuh) comes from Babirussa and "The Red Rocker," the red character in the board game Rock'em Sock'em Robots, and has a mucular and obese green body with red stripes in some places. Its left eye has a red mark like a bruise under it. It has mdified red front hooves for punching, and clawlike white lower hooves for keeping balance. It has large legs to support it's new weight, as well as Red shorts with green trim. It has a longer leafy tail, but with less leaves than it had as a Babirooki. If Babirokka are severely injured in a fight, they use their snout-tusks to hang from a tree and absorb energy to heal itself.
I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Babis. Reminiscent of an Avic fake (and that's a complement of the highest order).

Gloves look a bit small but otherwise these are perfectly acceptable designs.

Babirook is cute!
And Babirokka is badarse :D

Thank you!
Thanks again!
Thanks, and a funny story on that!

Thank you! And I know which one you're talking about. I was almost scared to post it after seeing all the times people have actually stolen things, at least without a complete retooling.

My cousin has said this as well, and I'm starting to agree too. The reason they are smaller is because those are acutally modified forehooves, but I think I will increase the size in a possible final product.

Aw, ANOTHER Fighting type? I like the pre-evo's design, the evo's design is so-so.

Don't worry about it, I wouldn't expect you to read the full description as it is rather lengthy.

And don't worry! You won't have to worry until after two more concept sheets before you see another fighting type! And even then, it's not one you'd expect! The next sheet will feature three pokemon related to a certain Dark type pokemon...

Anyway, thanks, and I understand if you don't like Babirokka all that much, I can live with it, and again, I have a funny story on the design.

Funny Story:
My grandpa is a very overweight person. He wants to lose weight, but he's got lots of back problems and other things, so he can't do much.
Anyway, one time when he was over, my dad got my concept folder out and shoed him the concepts. Babirooki and Babirokka are the first ones if you open the folder picture-side, and when he saw babirokka, he said "That is one great picture of your grandpa, sonny!"

Anyway, I'll edit the post with info, as I didn't have time when I was posting it.
