Call me cynical, but I've yet to see a good comic using members as characters.

No. I've made allot of comics with my own characters, and so far I've only did one joinable comic as an experiment. Everyone on the site I posted it on really enjoyed it and it became the most posted in and viewed thread, and when it ended they all requested another. I told them I'm not going to do it anymore (notice that this was 2 years ago), but I felt that I'll try it out again and see if it works even better. And I promise it won't be a generic "zomg wii all just started out journee lets wrokz togther!"
